Notice how at the end Deckard and Rachel ride off into the sunlight as the dark city transforms to light. It's the same ending as Dark City and Tron Legacy. It seems to symbolized the sacred masculine and sacred feminine being united in an alchemical wedding, like in Gnostic theology.

As always it is so beautiful and nostalgic for us Greeks, to hear at the masterpieces of our dear departed Vangelis, that we miss him so much, but we also love the fine art, that Ridley Scott and his incredible cast, gave us, back then!

Comment choisir parmi toutes les musiques de ce génie celles qui ont le plus marqué ? celle ci en fait sans conteste partie. Blade Runner sans cette bande son n'aurait pas eu le même attrait. Merci infiniment à ce génie

I dont recall this song in the movie. Yes mixed parts, but the overall vocal just is not in the movie original or directors cut. That said the music fits beautifully Vangelis.
@elekvault2 жыл бұрын
The song was composed for the movie, and it is included in the official OST album, but they never got to actually use it in the final cut of the movie. It was used in some ads, though.

In what part this ost plays?
@elekvault4 жыл бұрын
This song actually never plays in the movie. Vangelis composed it, and it was included in the OST album, but it was finally not used in the actual film. "Memories of green" was used instead. They did use "Rachel's song" for some trailer tho, I think, or maybe radio ads.

@@CrimsonNight55 I've read in a different comment section that Rachel's song was originally supposed to appear at the part where Rachael shoots Leon to save Deckard
