This is so valid haha I have the same problem with my special balisongs. I just dropped my Tsunami prod V #169 on concrete the other day and TBH, it's kinda liberating LOL

tip: you don’t have to tape the whole width of the blade. you can just tape around the strip next to the spine and will stop the ring just as well and it will look better

Maybe it's all in my head, but even with that severely miniscule amount of tape added to the blade it still seems as though I'm feeling that "extra bit" of weight that the tape adds. Again I think it's all in my head but it does seem to affect the way I flip when I have it added. So it's pretty much annoy the roomies or don't flip it....😔

@@G0ATHR0B if anything the tape would help, cuz the reason people don't really like the kraken trainer is how severely handle bias it is compared to the live blades

Love my kraken trainer. It’s super solid. I totally agree about the ring though. I have tinnitus too and yeah, it’s subtly too much.

Personally, i love ring in balisongs but I totally get that some People dont like it, but yea I too dont get why some guys complains about kraken trainer, its totally fine

Great review of the trainer. Personally I really like it, then I curious and tried the Hourglass trainer blade on it, and damn I that’s a whole different thing and is a ton of fun to flip them back and forth. Highly suggest trying it out.

I tried an hourglass blade at blade show and wasn't the biggest fan of it, glad you enjoy it though!

dual tone gives it a little more grip then the whole color one! you can get an hour glass blade!

I agree with the ring point. I dont see how anyone could listen to it. I have both a kraken trainer and a squid trainer, I mute the kraken because its horrible, the squid trainer is loud, but kind of satisfying

most people dont take into account that lucas has said that he intended the trainer to flip different than the live(s)

😂ok you got one! I guess im glad u don't regret it like me! I'd say its like 70% of the experience to the live! The trainer is a super good flipper but the live blade is just wayyyyy better for the same price

Trainer is even 190$ if u use code, lb is 275, also trainer and both blade shouldnt flip the same, all blades should have own style, at least Lucas said something like that, trainer isnt worse than bowie or tanto, they all Just diffrent

They do not provide the files, I bought a physical stand from them at blade show

Yeah. I dont like the blade either. That's why I bought a konig. The blade matters man. It really does. The tanto hourglass blade for it looks much nicer imo. I do plan to pick one of these up but the blade will have to go

I never got the hate. I love them so much I got 2. Tbh a partial reason for picking up a 2nd one wass because if I got one confiscated due to travel or some other reason i wouldn't be too heartbroken over the whole thing. But I fn* hate the ring! Ringers are not my thing. Also I'm completely with you on Squid's "Teal" color. I never cared too much for teal until I got my Mako. All I gotta say is daaayyyuuuumm. Its an friggen gorgeous shade!

Neither of them really, the squidtrainer is probably closest balance wise but it's so much heavier than a Kraken
