They just sacrificed speed for damage, the blades of athena do half the damage but faster than the blades of exile

Its upon kratos how fast he wants those blades to be common sense even though exile's are heavy but for kratos its weight is still as same as athena

The reason why the Blades of Athena do almost no damage is because they lowered it to do the same damage as level 1 blades of exile and never changed it for a new game plus play-through. they probably did this so we wouldn’t be overpowered at the beginning of the game

@@datsuric2623 No , blade of Athena do roughly the same dmg as blade of exile at lv.3~4 . Not level 1 as you think it is.

Wow, totally awesome show us both Blades in God of War 3 moves. 1:12 Same moves attack. 1:56 Different Heavy attack moves. 2:42 Both Hyperion Fury for Blades of Exile and Hyperion Rush (Running) for Blades Of Athena are totally impressive near enemies. 3:27 Both Blades Of Athena and Blades Of Exile have Cyclone of Chaos 4:16 Both Blades are different Heavy attack moves. 4:59 Both Blades with Cyclone of Chaos (Air) attack moves. 5:35 Both Blades with different Heavy (Air) attack moves. 6:11 Both Blades Blades Of Athena and Blades Of Exile have Athena's Wrath (Evading) After an evade create an explosion that launches enemies into the air. 👏👏👍👍 Awesome! That was amazing both Blades Of Athena and Blades Of Exile are quite impressive moves! By away, you found Aphrodite's Garter was located behind Aphrodite's Bed, right? That switch on you get Blades of Athena and switch off you get Blades Of Exile. I'm totally impressive you show us both Blades Of Athena and Blades Of Exile combat moves. Good thinking

Blades of exile is more curved looking makes it acting more like a grappling hook rather than an actual blade

Blades of Athena has that bitchin', fast and furious move L1+O on the ground and air, it's called "Rampage of the Furries." It's a hell of a combo move💯💯👍👍

Thanks to your video bro, finally i can see clearly the color effects of these two blades, i modding GOW ghost of sparta thanks to your video it really helps a lot. I don't have god of war 3 my pc can't handle this game only psp emulator runs smoothly on my pc i want this game but my pc is low, modding is the only way to experience this game, feels like playing gow 3 on ppsspp emulator

It's kind of a shame. I like the moveset of Athena a lot more(especially L1+Circle on the ground and in the air: heavy smash enemies in the air then L1+Circle beneath them to keep them there is so satisfying. Some enemies are super vulnerable to L1+Circle air attack as Kratos can hover over them almost indefinitely), but GoW3 is clearly built with exile in mind since everything just feels so spongy with Athena equipped, especially late game. Athena's attacks are faster, but not really enough to compensate for the damage loss.

Blades of Athena are fast, but not as deadly as Blades of Exile. The explanation could be that in GOW 3, Kratos, with the anger and thirst of revenge with the titans and gods, he only wants to kill em all, so he is now doing the same attacks, but in a different way to deal more damage (and also the shape of the blades allow him to do that)

Blades of Exile are better than The Blades Of Chaos and Blades Of Athena The L1 O interrupts everything including super heavy enemies and the L1 Triangle clears all crowds Jump, L1 triangle interrupts all enemies, bosses included and erases crowds as well

I personally love both blades equally But i gotta even blades of Athena got some advantages Holding square will make kratos do a long sweep clearing enemies in a certain amount of area And rampage of furies (L1+O) will know back small enemies and stunts large ones allowing us to finish them with tarturus rage (L1+🔺) or cyclone of chaos (L1+🔳) And not to mention when you are in air the tarturus rage will allow you to fall much faster and do a massive fire blast that knocks and damage both large and small enemies

The blades of chaos never actually killed any god... ares died by the sword of the bridge, poseidon by kratos thumbs, hades by his own weapon, zeus by kratos fist, hermes by the blades of exile, helios by kratos hands, athena by the blades of olympus, hephaestus by a bridge extension

Nah. The Tartarus Rage is slightly different. I think the Athena's Blades win this style cuz the sense of damage. Blades of Exile's Tartarus Rage is just wasting time attack, both ground and air attacks. And also Athena's Blades Golden Fleece creates some wide attacks, unlike Exile's creates 1-3 object attacks.

Its straight up Slower than Athena's Blades and That applies to the Crossover Games Too. In Mk9 The Blads of Exile are Slow as Heck but in Playstation All Stars Battle Royale Athena Blades have much greater Speed
