I feel like the experiment you had last battle report has been perfected here! Really like how the report is mostly your concise but witty recap but occasionally cutting into gameplay for the funny/impressive moments and its good to see the after turn rundown to let us know what you're thinking return.

I think you guys solved a better formula as already stated by other commenters. You definitely stood head and shoulders above other channels in terms of production, music and a very clear indication of what unit does what. And lovely commentary! Also, the conciseness factor, where you show what is happening without lengthy deliberation was great. When it came down to the post-turn recaps however, I felt like the bite-sized nature of the turns in your batreps also kind of took away from the cinematic experience. In essence, I always enjoyed watching the turns unfold so much, that pausing the game for a 5 minute recap after, although informative and necessary! sometimes made me skip ahead, because I just wanted to get back to viewing the game unfold. You managed to unify the experience, by having the commentary always be present, with highlight moments and reactions. This way the pause between games does not break the immersion anymore, and for the past 2 batreps, I have not skipped a second! Congrats guys!

Led into the maelstrom was failed for Stormcast: none of the unit who charged was within 3" of an enemy unit at the end of the turn, so it was an even bigger win for Khorne! Great game to watch!

Yep so 24 to 21 insane how khorne can Comeback. Khorne has a good grand strat of Bring me a worthy Skull: enemy choose a Hero that needs to die should be doable with skarbrand and meteors

Hey guys love your content either way but just wanted to throw out here how much I liked the last bat rep with tzeentch vs. sylvaneth. That editing style seemed a lot more engaging and really had a great flow imo. Nothing wrong with the old way or like this video just wanted to give my input.

I've read the "Lines of Communication" Twist rules multiple times. When you go second and pick a phase to disrupt, is it for both players, or just the opponent going first?

@16:04 Dragon deals 7 damage to the demon dogs, but they have 2 wounds each. I think you meant 7 dogs die.

it was a unit of 5, and they killed 3.5 of them, so I believe all was correct!

5+ ward for all the Khorne units that lost wounds at the start of turn 2 due to their army rules.

Was looking at the Stormcast list, and felt like there might be an error? I can't figure out how you had the single Stormdrake Guards without a Knight-Draconis, or how you made them battleline to fill your 3.

With the Army of Renown, you can have a single dragon for each hero in your list, and Krondys and Karazai both count as battleline.

@@SeasonofWar Ahhhh, okay! I figured I was missing something, but couldn't find what it was. That said, the army of renown does also say that the units of 1 can't have the battleline role, unless I'm missing something. Some of the rules are spread over so many things it can be hard to keep track of where they are. Thanks for the response!

I would rather have slaughter of sorcery and just throw Krondys in late game and have him die since most games he will die anyways without any ward.

can someone explain to me why the SE player gets 5VP in round 2? He gets his battletactic for 2 and holds 1 objective on the right, which means 3VP...he doesnt hold 2 or holds more...

and again in Turn 4. he scores 5 points but only holds the mid Objective and DOENST score his battletactic cause none of the units are within 3' of an enemy unit??? what am i missing?!

Don't the stormcast in round 4 fail tactic tho? I believe one of charging units has to end turn touching enemy, but drakes killed everything

How do 1+ work? Do you succeed on a 1 or do you still have to roll a 2 because the core rules mention 1s are auto fails?

It also depends on what the 1+ is for. There is no universal 1 is always a failure, it specifies hit rolls, wound rolls, etc. So Skarbrands 1+ MW on Carnage, as it says not to use the normal attack sequence, will always succeed. When he's angry you're really only rolling the dice to see if you get that juicy 6 for 16 MW. Be'lakor's 1+ to wound on his spearing tail, however, is a wound roll and thus auto fails on a 1.

@@beauford8099 so these Stormcast units are no longer Stormcast Eternals? No more reforging after returning to Azyr? Seems to me that blaze of glory is an inherently Stormcast thing and not tied to a Stormhost, which the Skywing replaces. All the keywords remain.

@michaelfouse4102 armies of renown have absolutely nothing in common with their parent faction other than the select units you can take. They 100% replace all existing allegiance abilities, so blaze of glory, all comand traits, spells/prayers, etc. It's dumb they don't get it, I agree, and it's not like this army of renown is overpowered in the slightest.
