👍🏾👍🏾 ((Hardworking American)) - I have my own lawn service that I do in the day and I work at a restaurant at night - (nothing like barely making it to the bed at night, only to have to get right back up in about 7 hours to bake in this heat) 😂😂

That’s right Johnny break it down for the newbie’s, you have walk before you can run. One of best friends son stated his own lawn care business and just works the weekends because of his full time job Monday to Friday. He is learning and enjoying his new business. Spot on Johnny. I like how you said the first 3yrs will be rough. That’s definitely true. In the first 2-3yrs you’re still building a customer base and basically taking any yard you can get. Like you said the moment you realize that you don’t have to take any property then don’t take it. You have to have a minimum fee. In my area it’s hard to find any company for less than $300 a month. And that’s just for mowing. So set your prices and stick to them and the customers will come in. May not be as fast as you want them to but they will definitely come in.

Hot today 102 in Tampa l had to take a breather for 30 minutes which is better than heat exhaustion then you go home or the ER

I started a lawn care business in 2020 with my sons but shut it down over a year ago then we decided to restart the business again a few months ago and we are getting customers but there's one big dilemma i I need your advice with. As a solo guy, how many properties is ideal for you to maintain? I know you schedule Monday-Thursday with Fridays open for weather delays. Going full time in a month so just trying to get a feel for the volume cuz that is the structure I am shooting for. Thanks in advance!

Johnny I wanna ask I'm gonna be getting grandstand soon and I was curious what is the everyday process you go through using the airbags on the rear of your truck or maybe you could point me to a video everywhere I look seems to talk about hauling with a trailer but I'm putting the grandstand in the bed of the truck

Here in central Canada grass is slowing down now, some clients want it cut weekly and some bi-weekly regardless of length for a “clean up cut” however sometimes you go to do a clean up cut and then either client comes out a gets upset for it not being long enough or neighbor tells client it was cut when it wasn’t long then you feel like crap Then when you skip cutting a clients lawn they text you on weekend asking why it wasn’t cut and then cut it themselves lol How do you navigate it this issue ?

Here in NC, unless you’re in a nice area, people don’t care about their lawns so their gonna hire the $25 guy with the crap quality, on the other hand, the companies take all the nice yards because they have the better equipment….I don’t think I’ll be quitting my full time anytime soon.
