That is what I thought, too! How sweet that her Daddy taught her those things: and appreciation for beauty and hard work. Work is a blessing when seen in the right light. There is an incredible sense of self worth derived from a job well done. She would have worked hard and made it beautiful! And then Johnny came along and made it beautiful faster and gave her a blessings Johnny also values meaningful work. Lot of neat things in this short video!

I'm the only one on my street that keeps their lawn edged. I'm not looking to compete with anyone, but it truly does make a significant difference. I need an edger though. I do mine with a weed wacker.

Two of the best equipment investments I have made were an edger like that and a pressure washer. Since finding all of you wonderful people who make these lawn care videos I have really started working on my yard. You give great advice for those of us who for the most part never really did much work on the lawn. It was really great how you helped this family out. God Bless you.

I xeriscaped my front yard several decades ago because of the steep slope and the time and effort it took to maintain for grass nobody walked on. I had a metal edger that kept the grass contained and the edges crisp. When I no longer needed a grassy backyard, I converted that area as well. I had 12,000 ft2 of grass and it is so much easier to maintain now. A little weeding now and then, pruning as needed and watering during severe droughts for some plants to look their best. I don’t know why I watched your video since I even gave away my lawnmower 6-7 years ago but a crisp edge that you provided just really makes the yard look better. The proper tools do help make the work quicker and easier.

That is so nice of you to take the time, even if it was not a lot of time, to quickly finish the work that would have taken her hours. I loved it when she said she was doing it the way her Daddy taught her. I live in a rental and my landlord does the lawn but if he takes too much time, I get out there and do some edging with scissors and mowing with my reel mower, ha. My Papa did not let his grass or the neighbors grass or the grass at the church get too high so I have a little bit of that mindset in me.

Sir, forget the great job you did, the fact that you did it for free, is the tells me that you care about people. It’s not about the money. If you've been using a trimmer for decades, why change your technique now, if the trimmer has been doing the job? If it's not broke, don't fix it! Keep doing what you're doing because, if you decide to get an Edger, you will have to learn and get use it. A Weed-Wacker does just as good of a job, as the edger. Personally, I use the trimmer more than the edger. One thing about edging in general is that you don't have to do it every time you mow the lawn. You can edge every 2-3 weeks, or once a month.

@@slimdude2011 yeah that is what I do. But my hand is not steady enough to get a nice line most of the time. But I am not doing this professionally, just my yard, so it's probably no big deal. I could have gotten an edger at a yard sale last year for about $25 - wish I did. Not willing to pay for a new one at this point! thanks for the thoughts!

Thank you so much for the videos I'm disabled widow trying to take care of my yard the last 2 years. I was using a string battery operated edger and weeder Until I saw the blade in action My arms and legs stay in constant pain and in Texas heat I want something that does the job quick. My property is too big for me yet I just can't move right now.
