Great video! and like you, it's also one of my favourite training areas. You'll note on each visit the pond's level never ever varies. In addition to the long-since sealed extraction pipework, the middle of the pond features a spring that keeps the level constant, year round, with the overflow dropping into the channel cut to the North.
