Hi, thanks for the review! Sorry for this kind of noobish question, but if you'd have to come up with a good and complete (to some extent) orchestral template now in the end of 2022 and had no VST libraries yet, how would you spend say a budget of $2000-3000 for that purpose?

Kinda crazy... I've had Afflatus on my list for quite a while ...Now that it's at a Winter sale price, this comes along... They're different libraries so not really comparable... This one would be a workhorse. The other, not so much. :)

(About Violin 2) If you transpose two steps down in Kontakt and two steps up in MIDI Modifyer, you get a different range (which is not really good.) Is there a way to correct that issue?

cannot for the life of me figure out what i'm not doing on this library, but each note fades super fast in the legato patches like i'm playing with the world's strongest marcato. It's not smoothe at all for me

Nevermind I figured it out right after I hit enter. If anyone else runs into choppiness, you have to have actual overlap in your notes as it doesn't seem to pick up on two notes touching each other as legato.

No violins 2, it's not really worth it for devs, so much work, polishing time and budget that could be dedicated to the rest of the patches. They are just violins on a slightly different position at the end of the day so you might as well just do the transpose trick shown here, pan slightly differently and get the best of both worlds, cheers!

I don't think Poly legato exists, you want sustains patch if you want to play multiple notes at the same time

@@_tolly Yes they are ! "The One " I'm looking at is current ly on sale and to me it sounds more lush, and with the poly legato you can connect chords changes beautifully plus control the amount of vibrato .

@@andrewb2700 Poly legato is indeed a thing but I haven't seen it implemented properly anywhere, execept for the audio company that should not be named. As for the vibrato control, this is definitely something I haven't seen done in a convincing way (like ever, unless it's modelled) the crossfades are never clean and it does have huge impact on overall quality, legatos tend to suck a lot for instance and it just gets out of control for the devs. I recommend instead loading your regular vanilla old-fashioned sustains patch to work on your sketch, and then assign each part accordingly, you'll have way better and faster results that way

No 2nd violins. And don't play over 75 velocity or You'll get portamento with every single note. Sorry, that's not for professionals.

That’s pretty much what discouraged me from getting this. I was thinking about using it for flexible lines in action cues, but then they decided to just not record 2nd vlns lmao the price they’re asking for is simply ridiculous for what you’re getting

@@The_Rock_That_Floats Just do the tranpose trick and you'll be fine, they are literally just violins. Also the articulations included are pretty damn deeply sampled with a good bunch of good dynamic layers, great releases, rebows, and everything is performance sourced so you are not getting dead flat samples like with most libraries out there.
