Der Film beleuchtet die wahre Geschichte des märchenhaften Aufstiegs der beiden Tänzer Robert Pilatus und Fabrice Morvan alias Milli Vanilli zum schillerndsten Pop-Duo der späten 80er Jahre. Gemeinsam mit Musikproduzent Frank Farian wurden sie zu gefeierten Weltstars mit drei Nr. 1 Hits in den US-Charts. Lediglich ein kleiner Kreis Eingeweihter weiß, dass das Duo nicht selbst singt, sondern nur die Lippen bewegt - zu den Stimmen professioneller Sänger. Auf dem Höhepunkt ihres Ruhms gewinnen Milli Vanilli den Grammy Award. Aber die Lage hinter den Kulissen spitzt sich zu, der Druck auf das Duo wächst. Als schließlich die Wahrheit ans Licht kommt, blicken Fab und Rob in einen bodenlosen Abgrund und die Welt auf den vielleicht größten Skandal der Musikgeschichte.
Regie führt der vielfach ausgezeichnete Filmemacher Simon Verhoeven nach seinem Originaldrehbuch. Produzenten sind Quirin Berg und Max Wiedemann, Gewinner des Oscar® für DAS LEBEN DER ANDEREN und Produzenten von Erfolgsserien wie „Dark“, „Der Pass“ oder auch „4 Blocks“. Es ist nach vier Nr. 1 Kinohits (MÄNNERHERZEN, MÄNNERHERZEN 2, WILLKOMMEN BEI DEN HARTMANNS und NIGHTLIFE) die fünfte Zusammenarbeit mit Simon Verhoeven. I also don't see any resemblance. But I do appreciate their dancing ability. They are close enough to get a message out. That is what matters, I think. I look forward to seeing the movie for entertainment but hope the truth can be told, even if it does have to be between the lines because of the exploiting POS that still holds the reins.

Wikipedia, one of the most unreliable sources on the internet. Since there is no public record available for the song "Blame it on the Rain" regarding written documentation or verbal agreement of it's transition between Clive Davis, Frank Farian and Diane Warren that Davis never offered the song to Houston, doesn't prove that it wasn't. It's a fact that Diane practically wrote some of Whitney's biggest hits and Clive Produced them. It may have come up in conversation, it may not have but either of them have never officially made claims in any of their interviews (including your link for Warren) that she or Davis did or did not offer Houston the song even though Warren had intended it for the group "The Jets", however, the suggestion that Davis did offer it was scripted in the movie by the writers and then sanctioned by the movies Director so it indeed would have come up during a conversation and it seems that it was added in the movie to portray this.

They give where they get their information, by using [22](example) SO, ""IF"" the info is incorrect, then the resources they use are also incorrect.. AND, nearly every single website is person/people input. All websites, do NOT generate information on its' own.. I've yet to find any "false" information. Sometimes, maybe incomplete but false, not that I've seen.. I use wikipedia every day for my researching. ***NOW, I will add though, I mainly use it for actors/actress', singers, musicians, songs, etc.. I don't use it for much anything else***... So there could be incorrections in other researches.. I'll definitely admit that. because of comments like this, its important the movie was made and their story gets told and shown. Rob & Fab didnt deserve the Hate and all the blame. There have been people like F. Farian and other powerfull People in the back who never had been held accountable. Fab performed together with one of the real voices Jon Davis as "face meets Voice". Fab is still doing music today and he is amazing. You find several of his Performances on yt !
