Long before March Swatch Group for a good reason decided to leave the world watch and jewelry show and to create an own format how to present its novelties. Today is the 21st of May 2019 and last week I have been spending three days in Switzerland to finally discover the novelties of the luxury brands of Swatch Group. Among them of course Blancpain!

Blancpain Villeret GMT / Date
Elegance and discretion have characterized "Villeret" models since the early 1980s and the new Villeret Extra-plate watch is no exception. It has a resolutely contemporary face while preserving the collection’s emblematic aestheticism and authenticity. The GMT complication enables the simultaneous indication of two zone-times.
Please stay tuned since this sis only one of the first Blancpain videos going online. In the next days I will continue my presentation and show you selected new luxury timepieces of Breguet, Glashütte Original, Harry Winston, Jaquet Droz and Omega.

I work with my hands, use tools all day long and I wear a gold Villeret Blancpain as my everyday watch. It is incredibly accurate, people notice it especially in my line of work where Timex is the go to watch BUT they have no clue what I'm wearing nor what a Blancpain is. Isn't beautiful?

Very nice indeed! Simple and elegant, yet beautifully finished. A good alternative to a Calatrava. And love the natural surroundings especially that bubbling stream. What a relaxing civilized place to work.

the entire Vallée de Joux is a relaxing place. Perfect for watchmakers and also creatives... Nature inspires you... It is worth a visit not only due to the various watch manufacturers (Audemars Piguet, Blancpain, Breguet, Jaeger-LeCoultre - just to name some) there...

The Blancpain Villeret Extra Plate is a wonderful and elegant watch... 40 mm in diameter and just 7.39 mm thick... The watch is powered by the hand-wound calibre "11A4B" and offers 95 hours (!) of power reserve... Do you own it or are you interested to buy it?

I own it but I can not find any information or expert’s options about it. Some people commented I should buy VC or JLC but I chose this for my dress watch. I am truly enjoying it. Thank you! I love your channel. It is amazing that you meet and visit many prestigious and respectful people in the world of horology.

Yes, Blancpain make some very nice dress watches, don't they? Maybe these are a good option for someone (like me!) who couldn't quite justify the prices charges by A.Lange und Söhne for a single watch? (The Blancpain movement would still be genuine haute horology, I think.)

The problem is resale and maintenance. Both which tank their resale value. In contrast, patek holds much better value- often exceeding new price as second hand...

Belisarius Not all PATEK PHILIPPE watches resell for a higher price only some. The same applies for BLANCPAIN... In terms of maintenance both brands offer an exceptional worldwide service, so there is no reason to worry...

Never wrote that all Pateks; the million dollar can drop to 300,000. but nowhere near the complexity of a blancpain repair

I like blanpainc but only in secondary market,i find the same rolex in gold for only 3500$ in 33mm....same price than an omega riche ville in gold,so i prefer the blanpainc bjt new,toooo expensive,and more in gold
