On the other hand, Catholic Priests take a vow of Confessional Secrecy, so whatever is confessed to them remains with them. Historically, there have been examples of Priests who preferred to die rather than break the seal of confessional secrecy. Secondly, they are trained professionals who help and guide the penitents to avoid future sins while stressing the grievous nature of sin which offends God. If a person has a drinking problem, for example, they may warn the person on their daily walk/commute to take another route where there are no pubs/bars or to cross the street so as to avoid the near occasions of temptation.. Another point to note is that the Priest/Confessor can only forgive sins against God. We still have to repair our sins against neighbour. For Sin has 2 effects - human and divine. If I break your window, I obviously sin against you. I also sin against God who commanded me to not do it - Love of Neighbour. So to erase the sin, I must do 2 things. I have to repair/compensate you sufficiently - human justice. Secondly, I have to confess my sin - Divine justice. If I do only one, then my sin remains. Thus my confession to another will satisfy Divine justice only Often the Confessor/priest will not forgive my sin(s) - or will only give me absolution only on condition I have satisfied human justice. If I only satisfy Divine justice but not human justice, I will have to undergo time in Purgatory first. Note - The thief on the cross satisfied human justice by forfeiting his life by crucifixion, as well as Divine justice by appealing to Jesus - and was thus promised Paradise. The other thief also satisfied human justice but not divine justice and thus no Paradise. We have all sinned - and still continue to sin because we have inherited a Fallen Nature. And most of our sins are trespasses against neighbour. The Bible teaches that God is the God of Justice and allows no favouritism. So, if I continue to break your windows and God continues to forgive me unconditionally, then God will be unjust to you. Interesting…didn’t know that prayer=worship. Pretty sure the Bible says sacrifice is worship…and we don’t sacrifice to Mary… Prayer is to earnestly ask someone, and we ask Mary to pray for us. Bowing is considered to be respectful, not worship. Co-redemptrix because she actively participated in our redemption by saying “yes” to God. None of the above is worship. It’s honoring her yes, because she is our best example of humans living a godly life, but not worship. Worship, according to the Bible, is sacrifice. This is why Christ is the eternal sacrifice. Otherwise, Mary would never have been called Kecharitomene. 2) Mary stayed a virgin, and had no more children. Otherwise, she would have been identified as “Mary, mother of Jesus, (insert name), (insert name).” as was custom for all mothers in the Bible (they were identified by the names of their sons). Mary was ONLY ever identified as “Mary, mother of Jesus.” And nothing else. The people mentioned in Mark are also shown to have a different mother (also named Mary) as shown in Matthew 27:56 and Mark 15:40 and John 19:25. Different Mary. 3) Yes, we honor Mary, but we do not worship her. His flesh being mauled (or eaten) symbolizes His suffering being beaten senseless and hung on a cross, while His blood demonstrates the tradition of old, how a white, stainless lamb had to be drained of its blood for the atonement of sins. It’s all symbolic

Although Catholics deride Protestantism for the number of different denominations, I find that not all Catholics hold the same view of their own faith. How do you feel about the suffering of others helping to pay for your salvation? I saw a video here on KZfaq about a devout little Catholic boy in Italy who was diagnosed with cancer. He knew it was terminal but was happy that his own suffering would help free souls from purgatory. This was supported by his local bishop. And another video discussed demon possession and how a Catholic woman wanted to be possessed so that the demon would harm her and she could then offer up her suffering as an offering to help others.

The harlot is the religious system and leaders of physical Jerusalem. As God says so much in scripture that it was his wife who played the harlot over and over. Also they killed Jesus and most of the apostles. And also Jesus said that upon that generation all the blood would fall upon them from Able to Zechariah and even Christ when they said may His blood be upon us and our children. And it happened in 70AD. Jesus came in judgement and destroyed the old system. The sign upon her forehead was just like the sign that they put upon Jesus on the cross. Why would it be the Roman Catholic Church? Did God ever say that it was His wife? Were they ever His bride? If not, how can they play the harlot on Him? He has ONE bride, it was before Christ, supposed to be physical Israel, who broke the covenant and killed their promised King. Now His bride is all who are in Christ, they are spiritual Israel.
