Ppl will never know the level of precision demanded in this game. I can’t tell you how many times I deliberately crashed into the nuclear truck out of frustration trying to get platinum on this level. A platinum medal on this level single handedly took probably 3 yrs off my life

Super hard. Just tried to beat it, even with your walkthrough, and failed. Thanks for helping me out, even though I couldn't get the job done, lol

This level is freaking aids. I hate the way shit gets caught on corners, or how it won’t let you off the boat if you’re a millimeter off… and god damn I can’t help but mix up Z and R constantly, it’s so frustrating

As the AVGN says... "this game is total ASS!" Seriously though, if they, for a second, had thought of implementing some kind of grab-lock mechanic to transport those stupid blocks, it would still be challenging, but at least it wouldn't demand millimetric precision which is needed when pushing them I know it was 1996-97, but I can't believe they approved this stupid concept when the level designer finished it. I doubt they playtested it with normal people to see how terrible and shitty the pushing mechanic was

something seems fishy here... by the time I get to move the boat to the tnt. the bomb truck in on my boat and I have to wait for it to drive over... I kept trying to optimize my movements to get the truck to be at in your video and there's just no way at all. your truck is way over at the bridge still. What gives? do I need an upgrade or something? breaking buildings is also slower. playing on xboxone.

This is N64 Gameplay, On Xbox One you have more maneuverability due to joystick differences, so they scaled base difficulty to match.

I had my controls mostly to a T. I don't see how I can be any better to get a better time. I ended up giving up on the game unfortunately.

Probably the improved performance on Xbone results in things moving faster than they do on N64, but it could be an intentional difficulty tweak.

@justanotheryoutubechannel You gotta try it, the clock speed or tick speed of the XboxOne CPU is just too fast for the old timer from the N64 days. I think it's a oversight of the remaster game and it's just game breaking on certain stages. I recall this happening on another stage and being extremely hard to get just right. This level in particular, I recall the run away truck getting across the boat before I could move it to fetch the TnT at time 4:30. And by the time you get to the island with TnT, it's too late. That truck just moves faster than the video.

@@hunteil I wouldn’t be surprised if it was an issue with this release, but I don’t have an Xbone to check. It’s definitely plausible though and it’s a shame if it’s the case. The Banjo-Kazooie remasters also have timing issues due to the improved performance, resulting in the intro needing to be modified. Hopefully you can find a way to best the level, maybe look into videos of people beating it on Xbone, or try to find some speedrun tricks. I’d be shocked if they released the game in an unbeatable state, but since this is a late level it is maybe possible it was overlooked.
