This story is actually really sad. Original humanity is wiped out by their own creations, because they cannot recognize them as fellow creatures. Ragna's friends all forget about him. Even Terumi the Mad Snake King, you can argue was just jaded from watching the universe be destroyed and recreated infinite times and just wanted a world where nobody could mess with him. The only people who know what really happened are Ragna and The Origin, and they cannot interact with the other characters anymore.

Ragna probably has one of the saddest backstories of all time.

I dunno that I would call "being the child of one of the previously mentioned Prime Field Devices who was a clone of a girl from another dimension named Saya Terumi, the biological sister of Naoto Kurogane, who is in turn an alternate universe version of Ragna (to the point that him even being in the same dimension as Ragna risks the possibility of his existence overwriting Ragna's own), and Ragna and his siblings basically being lab experiments until Jubei broke them out and gave them to his human sister-in-law (who had fallen in love with adult Ragna while he was acting as Bloodedge in his future and her distant past), where she gave them a relatively happy life in the church that she was living as a nun for like a year before Terumi got around to burning the place to the ground, murdering the nun, and kidnapping Jin (Says apparently got possessed by the hatred of the Origin at that point and gave Jin the sword that drove him mad and made him cut off Ragna's arm)" is really a normal family life.

As convoluted as the story was in the beginning, I kind of started piecing together some of the things that was happening and understood that a lot of it was alternate timelines. I think it was a little easier for me to piece together thanks to the legacy of Kain series. You guys helped me understand a little more now. Dying is one thing, but being forgotten in order to save creation is another matter entirely. Still hard to see that ending without feeling a little emotional 😞 Also I commend you guys for having to go through parts of the story without going insane lol

Can't wait to when they get to Roy or to Hazama/Terumi if this series continues. But really I don't saw many videos explaining blazblue in such a concise manner so good work putting together the plot

Well done. This is one of the most accurate summaries of Ragna's story I've seen. Still, there are a handful on inaccuracies. Ragna Jin and Saya were not ever a normal family; they were born by mating a small-scale, controllable black beast with a Boundary Prime Field Device (#5, to be specific, who was a clone of a woman from before the current timeline's war with the Black Beast). In addition, the original Black Beast from the original timeline is implied to be the original timeline's version of Ragna. EDIT: It's also implied that Ragna removes the Origin's soul from the Master Unit, effectively killing any part that hadn't already merged with Noel. After this, he either took her place as the Master Unit's Pilot, or merged with the Azure itself, locking the Master Unit (now rendered pilotless and therefore only capable of observing, much like the AI system Takamagahara) so deep within the Boundary that humanity will never be able to find it again.

Blazblue fan should know this man deserves better

It's pronounced as "Blaze_Blue" even the japanese katakana is written as : "burei buru"

This channel is one of the few that actually does a DECENT job of summarizing the core events of the plot , which is no easy feat considering how CONVOLUTED the story is as a whole, with other channels giving out wrong information about the story. Despite Ragna, Jin, and Noel being an artificial human, much like guilty gear, it’s easy to tell ethnicity unlike most anime and games which is very annoying since virtually all guys and girls look like Californian men and women, but Ragna definitely looks American, Jin looks Japanese, and Noel looks European.

Wow you guys just did entered one of the most confusing lore of games i have seen. You guys should take a look at Guilty Gear and the main character Sol Badguy. Same company that makes the blazblue series. I think it's just as confusing but i like Guilty Gear more because of all the rock reference and crazy side characters.
