The only thing I have of rusty's is the otk steering and the engine skid. The otk steering has worked ok for me but I hear a lot of other people who dont like it. As far as the longarm I cant say but I did just look at it and the crossmember looks like a toothpick compared to the Rubicon Express. I also would be very worried that it is bolt in and not weld on as there is a lot of force going on under there.

just find a stock jeep and measure from the ground up to something that is the same on both vehicles... let say the headlight, then subtract the difference.

Matt, i spy the same CJ7 you currently have your hands on! and since this video was from 2012, i've noticed a difference in that CJ vs when you ran it (and rolled it); the exhaust note seems different in these older videos. Was the LS swap something that was done more recently? or had the exhaust system been changed?

G'day all, I am enjoying all the vids mate. Keep them coming. Good to see your tow vehicle is a Dodge ram. I live in OZ and the Jeeps are not well liked here in the volumes you guys have. I like the rock crawling but have no one with the same interest as me. They are around but they are comp guys with the money to do it and travel the country to do it. I have 3 zj's in the backyard and a good one to kart the family around in. 2 fsj's 1984,1982 both the 360 amc v8's. And a 1994 XJ my daily driver. I can buy Jeep's cheap as they get some problems that scare a lot of mechanics here as they don't know much about them and parts are expensive to buy. If it's not a Toyota or Nissan they don't wont to know anything about them. So vids like yours help and I have a large collection of genuine workshop manuals to help. For parts I get most of them from the states and I deal summit a lot as they have been good with delivery times and the parts have arrived with no damage. If people around here had the interest I would build one of the rock crawlers. Mine would have to be MOPAR powered. Thanks.
