Jimmy, thanks for using my photographs to blend this interior and exterior shot. It looks great. Even better is the explaination on the preparation. That is where I've been struggling to blend naturally using Raya. I'm going to have a go this morning with the same images, and the do a complete edit. thanks for taking up my challenge !

That's a great idea and technique to blend those layers in a more natural way. I sometimes definitely had those ghosted regions in my blends, so I started to fix them manually, but that's definitely way better and I will try it very soon. As always thanks for sharing Jimmy and for making such a great educational job in exposure blending.

Thank you Jimmy for the great video. I just started with our EasyPanel and I get my first results as an "luminosity mask" beginner. I have the following question: I have for example from the bracket a 0EV, +1EV, -1EV picture loaded. Does it make sense: 1.) to create the "bright masks" from the +1EV image, select one and apply to the dark picture (-1EV). And the same, a dark mask from -1EV and apply to +1EV picture OR 2.) pick all masks from 0EV picture Thanks in advance. Uwe

hola Jimmy, sorry for my english, i'll try to explain my problem. when i shoot interiors (using only ambient light) i can't blend windows whith the rest of room exposures nicely if i have the sun caming into my scene. i mean without a glow coming in behind the limits of the windows. For a basic correct inside exposure ( information in a dark zones) i need over exposure the exterior and too much light came in and apear the glow between the contourn of the window and the exterior scene. If i take my exposure just first that light start to blow the interior of the window will be too dark around the window for a natural blend...😅 i look all your interiors blends tutorials and there is not similar situations. Always beautiful places whith a lot of natural light (or shoots whith something powerfull that balance the big diference between both exposures...) and... you never has the sun in front of you ;) i will very happy if you can make a tutorial for extreme situations. maybe a not to light room whith a window whith a hard light exterior scene. you do a really great job and help us to grow every day in our work. tksvm.

Hi Jimmy! Thx for new video! My translation of one of your recent video is still most popular on my channel. :) So I want to ask - if I need do blending for 360° panos, what can you recommend? I usually have about 13 bracketed shots for every pano in my tour. And they are equirectangular projections after stich. So I need fast enough method without hand-painting masks. I tried maaaany different methods and for now stopped on SNS-HDR software.

How can I make white elements of interior in this scene whiter than it is in your final image? Let me explain the problem sometimes I face a situation when large areas inside are pure white (and I want them to stay very bright in the final image + these areas require white balance setting different from exterior areas visible through the windows. I deal with this issue using clipping masks and editing these masks manually, but it is not ideal approach. Once I submitted the set of images illustrating the problem for your 'challenge' but didn't get any response

Hi Jimmy, I am trying to do this with your Raya 3.0, using the Precision M panel in place of the Blend panel but when trying to emulate you almost step by step, the mask gets applied to the wrong layer (the base rather than dark layer, even though dark was selected while using the Auto Dark) and in I also still wind up with ghosting artifacts, regardless of my efforts in Smart Object Camera Raw. Is is possible to redo this video using Raya 3.0? Interiors blending is super critical to me. It's the main reason I purchased the software. Thank you.

Thanks for RP Jimmy. I do my pre ps work in LR and cannot bring the images directly into acr. so i put them into ps via "edit in ps as objects". this worked yesterday. Today I only have 2 images to blend, a night flash exposure of a bedroom and the no light version of the window view. First; is it possible to merge the no lights window version (which has white separators in the windows) at all and keep the separators white? i bought the two images into ps as objects, stacked them and then tried an "autoblend dark" but got the error "the command "merge visible " is not currently available." i made the flash shot invisible which the dark shot was the only one visible. Any ideas? thanks, Kirt

There is one flaw in your example and it explains why i cannot produce the same quality editing...when you are explaining how to do this procedure without that plug in you middle layer that WAS initially your underexposed shot is now over exposed because you edited it in RAW and did not revert back to initial underexposed image...I hope that makes sense what i just wrote.
