how do you do the blend mode to alpha in cycles?

Thank you for watching, Jonso..!! :) In Cycles, we don't need to change the blend mode. The alpha is taken care of automatically, when we're using transparent background .PNG files. :) Are you using Blender 3.0 or later by any chance? I just tried it on the latest version of Blender, and found we don't need to change the blend mode, even for Eevee. It seems the PNG transparency is applied immediately after we import a PNG image with a transparent background.. The Blender developers must have updated it that way recently. :)

Thank you for your tutorial. I think there should be a much easier way to do it, to put a logo or drawing on a surface. Any other software (C4D, 3DS Max etc.) is able to put a transparent background PNG on any surface. And that's it! I love Blender but for some reason it is not easy thing to do and I can't find tutorials or how-tos on youtube.

I finished the tutorial and got my outcome however when I try to move/animate my teapot the image doesn't stay put on it. Have I missed a step? Thanks!

Thank you for watching, rosiegiblin2403..!! :) Please hover the mouse cursor over the shrinkwrap modifier, and press [Control + A] to 'apply' the modifier. :) (If we don't apply the modifier, the image won't move with the teapot..)

This is th easiest function in Blender, if you want to to ist in Modo, you need to maked 20 layers in Shader, masks, etc etc, and never get perfect result. However in 3.3 it doest worjk as presented here : ( Onother bug)
