If you could, would you please make video on scene management and workflow to work with team where you could parallelly work with teams where scene's geometry will be updated with linking files while doing modelling and also doing animation on same scene.

I would contact Blender support about that,.... i'm not sure if that's possible! I would think that you can't have both projects opened at the same time and also updating in real-time. Sorry I wish i could help more!

I believe if you want to "delink" files, you'd be better off just using the APPEND method (located right near the LINK method)

You can actually open the linked file within the scene, edit and revert back to the original scene without having to close and open different files. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bc6fapafy83aqWQ.html

I want to do this in reverse. I want to do a block out of a scene, then select an object and save it as a linked file, where I can do my detailed work OOOOOOORRRR have someone else do it, without having them to mess with my scene. THAT would be awesome!

Hi, thanks so much for this video! I have a question: My Blender scene is running slow because of its almost 400,000 vertex count. But I made collections for groupings of various objects in the 400,000-vertex-group file, and linked to those collections from that file using a new file, but the new file says the vertex count is also almost 400,000 and has started running slow. I must be doing something wrong, and I was wondering if you or anyone here might know what my mistake is?

It probably has to do with the complexity of your geometry and what your specific pc-computer can handle! Blender can only handle so much, so maybe it's better to try a different approach!

If I have a high poly model referenced into the main scene will it slow down my scene? Or will it be read as a low poly file?

I'm not sure! I would try it out! It will be different performance on every computer depending on your configuration!

Nothing I bring in as a link file wants to snap correctly. It always uses the center instead of the edge. I'm trying to design this big Community Center for a game called Resonite. I figured it would be wise to build it in different modules and put them together, that way if I have to change something, it's only for that one piece and not the entire building. Anyway, I figured using this technique, I could have like a master blend file to keep track of everything and to make sure the pieces fit together correctly. This snapping issue is making it impossible though, any advice?

I believe when you link the file, it uses the original ORIGIN from the first file. So depending on where your world-origin is within the ORIGINAL file, you will get that same 'object center', when linking! Let me know if that makes sense!
