It was a little later in the day when I got there this year. I was told they were on par over all, but yes, it doesn't look like as many by the photos, but it is an all day come and go event.

What a great looking area and that cross. Wow. That was huge. There's a huge cross on I-70 in Illinois that's pretty impressive also

Yes, the one on I-70 in Effingham IL. is approximately 1/4 the size of Bald Knob Cross in Alto Pass IL.
