This episode is an awesome representation of how depression and self-harm affect those around us. Luna created the tantabus to torment herself, just like people will brood on their own negative feelings and problems. And just like in the real world, it didn't just affect Luna, it affected everyone she cares about.

"Oh, she can't have nightmares?" Um....don't talk over them talking, and you wouldn't say stupid stuff like this in the video. One of my biggest pet peeves, honestly. You are blind reacting. Not making jokes over the episode's story so you don't understand the episode's story.

I could handle Princess Big Mac. What I could not handle was the massive Sailor Moon tribute leading up to Princess Big Mac. That one caught me off guard.

I think luna at the end was dreaming of her sleeping on the moon back when she was trapped there.

I think she was just dreaming of being at peace, laying on a comfortable bed, and surrounded by lavender(the calming flower.) Dreaming of sleeping on the moon where she was imprisoned for a thousand years wouldn't make sense because her guilt of the actions that led to her being trapped there is gone. In any case, why would she want to go back there after finally letting it all go?

Ya know, it kinda put me off how you reacted to Luna's literal self harming. You kept saying how it was her fault, and she just needed to "stop feeling so bad". It's not as simple as snapping your fingers and your depression is gone. It took Twilight and her friends to convince Luna she has changed, because Luna looked at them as dear friends she could trust. She was going through a serious issue and you almost treated it as a joke. I know that's probably not what you intended, I know you guys aren't jerks or anything like that, but it was really upsetting honestly.

It puts me off, too. As someone who has struggled with self-harm in the past, being told to "just stop" is one of the worst things you can tell someone going through something like that.

EP 13 I love this episode because we finally got more Luna development. I love how the episode starts because it is like WTF Luna is turning into Nightmare Moon then WTF rainbow powers and then oh it’s a dream. And it makes sense because dreams rarely make much sense. At first I was like why can't Luna and then oh god that thing at the beginning is real and it’s escaped into the dream world. I love that of course the Tantabus(where did they come up with that name by the way?) goes after the mane 6. I love that even when she's tired Pinkie Pie is full of energy. I love that Spike left all of Twilight Sparkle’s yawns in her letter to Luna. I love that Luna got to Ponyville in 3 seconds. I love how smug Spike is about not having a nightmare. I love the explanation about the Tantabus. Also this creature seems similar to the nightmare forces from the comics wanting to turn Equestria into a nightmare. I love that we get to see Luna go into dreams more and the way she does it although I imagine this isn't the only way she can get into dreams. Of course Rarity dreams of dresses. I love Pinkie Pie’s dream because with her hyperactive personality it makes sense that her dreams would be like that. I know so many bad jokes are going to be made about Fluttershy wanting to be a pet but I think her dream is being able to relax without having to worry about or take care of so many animals for once. I also love monster Angel’s design. I love that even in her dreams all Applejack thinks about are apples. I love how Rainbow Dash dreams about being a badass. Her nightmare is hilarious but also really creepy. I did not notice this the first time but the song the flowers are singing is being sung to an instrumental version of the Barney theme. Of course Twilight Sparkle dreams about books and her nightmare is books trying to kill her. I love how much trust the mane 6 has in Luna. Luna having to give all of Ponyville one dream was great. This was forshadowed in episode 4 when she created a shared dream for the CMC. I love that Derpy dreams of being giant who …meows…I think. I love that Lyra and Bon-Bon dream about being connected like CatDog. I guess Big Mac wishes he was a unicorn. I wonder why the Tantabus decided to turn the houses in the dream into Monster House references. I love that because it’s a dream Fluttershy can turn into Flutterbat and this forshadows what happens next. I love Princess Big Mac and I learned after the episode that his transformation sequence is very similar to the trasformation sequence of one of the sailor scouts from Sailor Moon. I love that the whole town gets to help by creating dreams. My favorite was Dragon Knight Spike riding Derpy into battle. I love that Applejack and Rainbow Dash become power ponies and Twilight Sparkle brings back the library. I love the reason the Tantabus gets stronger. Luna’s reason is a surpringly dark subject that the show handled well and it gives Luna’s character more depth. I love how the mane 6 who freed her from Nightmare Moon also free her from her guilt. I love that Luna dreams about sleeping because the burden of her guilt. I love that you see the Tantabus grow whenever Luna feels guilty. I also hope this means we will get a Celestia focused episode in the rest of season 5.

BIG MAC IS A SAILOR SCOUT, OH MY GOD. (This entire episode reminds me of the OVA of Dramatical Murder, my god is it terrifying)

I've heard the criticism that this episode should've been sooner in the series. Like season 2 or 3. I disagree. The impact of it is definitely bigger since the time frame that Luna has been punishing herself, and feeling guilty over being Nightmare Moon is such a long one. It's realistic there's stuff that I did when I was 8 or 9 that I still feel guilty about 15 years later. Luna feeling this way for this long, punishing herself to make sure it never happened again, and ultimately it leading to her causing more pain to others and adding more guilt to her already heavy load, is really realistic. I love this epidoe so much!
