Christ, the minute Pear Butter started singing, my eyes turned into waterfalls for the rest of the episode. Just one feel after another. Best episode of the season, and definitely in my top five of the series. Also, holy crap, William Shatner was great in this!

This is something some people brought up. The reason that Granny didn't know about the tree there OR remove those Pear trees was because she didn't want to go back to that spot. It brought back sad memories of when her daughter in law left her family. And I also think that the reason the apple siblings didn't known was because Granny warned them never to go there. But hey, it's just a theory. I need to start making more theories, I'm actually pretty good at it!

You were not Pre-peared for that were you? The Perfect Pear is surely an episode without Pearity. Its almost Unpearable how sweet this love story is. How two youths could somehow overcome such Pearilous odds to be together in the face of such a ingrained Fued in their pearants, Pearrying attacks from all sides. Brings a Pear to my eye.

Glad to see the episodes didn't get spoiled for you. It's probably an unpopular opinion, since there's almost a fanatical love for "Royal Problem", but "Perfect Pear", to me, is the best episode so far in S7, if not one of the best in the series. I found it to be a far better episode, as well as being only one of two episodes to make me actually tear up. As much as I'm a Pinkie fan, this definately should have been the mid-season finale episode.

It looked like the pear/apple entwined tree was in a disused part of the orchard, hidden by brush and other trees. Hence why Granny had never seen it (not to mention until it had grown a lot over the years it wouldn't have likely looked all that unusual).

Discordant Harmony: I swear this episode was to fully support the Fluttercord ship, lol. Because that's what it feels like. Discord was just so sweet trying to make things comfortable for Fluttershy, and Fluttershy was just as sweet trying to make things go back to normal; she even had similar ideas that he had. Staircase that goes nowhere, tea that sing. That's just great. I also loved the lesson, so sweet! This whole entire episode was just a giant sweet filled upside down cake full of sprinkles and frosting. Just oh my gosh! So sweet. I shipped it before, but I ship it even harder now. But even without the ship their friendship is adorable! Love it so much. Great reaction and can't wait for more! XD. The Perfect Pear: I love this episode! It is more then likely my second favorite episode of the series, my favorite being Amending Fences. (Amending Fences just hit me on a personal level). This kind of story isn't new, it basically is Romeo and Juliet. Star crossed lovers whose family can't stand each other. But it's just a plot point that may be so cliché it just works on so many levels. And for MLP FIM to blow this kind of plot out of the water for me and make it amazing; well that is just great to see. It made me cry so much the first time I had watched it, and even watching it now still gets me teary eyed/and even crying. The Apple parents are definitely dead, the hints before this episode with the series, the hints in this episode, plus the line they left something to remember them by, that just sells it to me. Plus everyone acted in a way that you would if someone you cared for was dead, yeah there's no denying it. Talking about old times, and the like. I can't see anyone having any doubt about them being gone after this episode. (Unless some people are just in denial). Such an amazing episode, love it so much! Seeing Discord actually being normal.... Quite strange in my opinion. But I am glad that Fluttershy seems to be more into chaos that Discord makes.

My very short idea on the two episodes: 12: good fun discord. Not much happens but the writers obviously had fun with it and the fun translated to the screen. 13: ... ... ... This episode, with a bit of explaining, is my new way of showing the show to people.

I know I might not be the only one, but for me, I was really hyped for you to watch these episodes. Especially the second one. I have always wondered what you would think of it, knowing that I consider it one of the best episodes of the entire show as well, I almost teared up too watching it. And knowing that for you, it's better than the Maud episode, then wow, that just makes me really satisfied.

Nice reacts :-D But I think there is a good explanation for the surprise with the apple/pear-tree... The wedding, and therefore also the planting of the seeds, was on the border between the two farms and according to Apple Family Reunion, the Apples have completely avoided the western parts of the orchard due to fruit bat infestations. And on the map of Equestria, this ties in with the Sweet Apple Acres location near Ponyville :-)
