Blind Guardian are there since 1984 and are one of THE metal bands in Europe! They are still around and touring and will be headliner again in Wacken 2024! Wacken is Europe's biggest metal festival based in northern Germany! About 80.000 metal fans will be there. For me the voice of their singer Hansi Kürsch is one of the best in metal! Fun Fact: he used to be the bass player in Blind Guardian and startet singing because they needed a singer! Since their last album Johan van Stratum is on the bass!

Guardian is the only band that supports the audiance and not the other way.

Hansi, the singer, also played the bass in the beginning but stopped and focused on the singing after a few albums. But they didn't officially recruited a new bass player after that. So they don't really have an official band member that play the bass. I guess that's why you don't see the bass player from the live shows.

As a drummer myself the drum fills at the end we're 10000/10!! You're a poser drummer!

I can think of two good sardinian drummers: efisio pregio (vexillum) and raphael saini (vision of atlantis, iced earth)

Blind guardian still make great albums to this day. But for me their first 5 are what invented power metal. Not surprising that those 2 songs came from that era.

thumbs up from me,am a girl drummer, i think ur friend was being polite. let him watch the moovie with the drummer who has to throw 400ds , then make him review this again. and just look at him. for fun. sry, not very ,but, its a tough job to b the drummer. basic qualifications would be , u need torture and ur agression wants to hit something. did I get that right? in this case, blind guardian, every band member was given a part. b/c it was their last performance at woA , which they helped to grow to that festival level. I was there 2nd yr, they sucked. just saying. I was more concerned with tractors and ,mud. stupid weather. c"est la vie.

What drummer doesn't even notice the tempo changes in Bard's Song? And then you judge the skill of a musician based on the complexity of the song he plays (just because you probably have problems playing Metallica songs)? What kind of band are you? Techno-DJs? Metallica albums are nice, but their live performances are more based on luck as on skill. And live performance is the only thing that makes you a great musician, especially since Autotune and all this bullshit. Probably you didn't see the concert where Metallica messed up quite anything imaginable. I wouldn't be surprised if they already use Autotune. Guardian sounds live just like on their albums and that has been the case for 40 years. But I give you one thing. You're in LA now and you try to impress people over there, so I understand why you're fan-boying around american bands. Let's leave it with that.
