If you wander around Wacken over the year you can still hear them singing at the distance.

Wacken is the biggest Metal festival in the World in the small Village of Wacken in northern Germany with around 2000 Citizens and every Year there are over 70000 Metalfans . Blind Guardian is a deep Rabbithole if you enter it :D have FUN

The Bard Song is somewhat like the national Anthem of Blind Guardian, i think that every German Metalhead knows the song and can sing it with closed eyes, even if they are no fans of BG. It's in our DNA. :D Proof, i'm no fan of BG, but i can sing this song without any mistakes.

Back in the early 90s I bought the CD that has "The Bard's Song - In the Forest" on it. I can confirm that after listening to it a couple of times you automatically start to sing along. The tune is catchy and the lyics are easy and relatable.

These guys have been around since the 80's and are still killing it. You should check some of their brand new stuff too - like "Violent Shadows"

Oohhh lovely! Saw them last year at a smaller venue in my home town. They finished with Valhalla too. Could not stop humming it for two days

BLIND GUARDIAN IS WACKEN......and WACKEN IS BLIND GUARDIAN!.....it's THE OFFICIAL HYMN OF THE FESTIVAL!.....EVERYBODY KNOWS THE LYRICS.....and remember,THE GERMANS SING EVERY WORD OF THE LYRICS IN ENGLISH!.......

You should give Lord of the Rings definitively a chance, mate. I know, it sounds weird in the beginning if you hear about Orcs, Goblins and so on. But believe me: You WILL love the LotR-triologie for sure. You will see. 😉 These movies are absolute masterpieces of art. After finishing the movies you want more instead of less movie time. Oh jeah oh D😂, this was a shock for you😂, when you have all german Bands have listen, you are dead😂 but you have some great attractions where i was at concerts, like ted nugent live at rockpalace with Stranglehold or great White Buffalo, i know, ted is a Trump Fan, but in 1976, He was God for us in Germany and this Show was awsome😅😊,also Johnny Guitar Watson, i met him in Leverkusen, one of the underratest Musician of All Time, and in the 70ties Alice,Creedence Clearwater, Crosby ,Stills and Nash, Grand Funk Railroad ,the Tubes, Gamma, and so many others at that Time😂❤😊greetings from Germany

Love Blind Guardian. For a great live video try Warriors of the World by Manowar. Dan Vasc also does covers from Blind Guardian and Manowar and they are fantastic.
