Twilight's speech at the end at one point reminds me of Lou Gehrig's retirement speech. Specifically, the line "Today, I consider myself the luckiest pony in Equestria." which is paralleled by Gehrig's line "Yet today I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the earth." The situation's are admittedly very different and the similarity is probably just a big coincidence, but I can't not see the similarity every time I watch this episode.

And now I go onto the second Twili-arc. First we had the training arc, and now we move onto the princess arc. My favorite because, of course, of episode reasons. And because of Starlight, my second favorite unicorn after Trixie. Mostly Starlight and Trixie though. Your reactions to both the ending of this arc, and the arc itself, were quite a bit of fun to observe. Can't wait to see your reactions to the second arc, hopefully I manage to catch up before you reupload to the end of the final season.
