If anyone was wondering where the uploads were, I've been working on Tears of the Kingdom blindfolded and had decided to reroute it using arrow smuggle flight. After like 3 weeks I finished up the route for the Great Sky Island and managed to complete a pretty clean first run! This should end up saving 15-20 minutes on GSI alone, but the goal is to now reroute the end game to save even more time so stay tuned for updates. There will also be a full video going through the routing process eventually.

**Faq:** *Movement consistency:* Most movement is up to precise planning and things that slightly move camera. - Music & footsteps are often used to get a point of reference. - holding sheild prevents falling off ledges - p5 has a special controler with dpads instead of sticks, so they can only be 8 directions. This cuts out the extreme imprecision added by joysticks. If you want it, it's from 8bitdo *How does he have the master sword?* Very early in the run 1. Takes a stick to the intro to unlock the inventory screen to then: 2. Smuggle the intro master sword to his save 3. Transfers the damage of a stick to the master sword (when a weapon is on its last hit, it does 2x damage, but the intro sword doesn't break, so it's a permanent 2x buff) *How does he fly?* At 13:07 he overloads the game by repeatedly duplicating the sword so he can get into a glitched state where he can fly with a bow. This also makes him hold every duplicated sword at once, so he will be able to defeat the final boss in just a few attacks. He has to keep very careful track of everything in his inventory and dropped items so the 2 tricks above work. Any more questions? Hop on stream, the discord, or reply here

And it's not even faster >:) The setup and running out of the tunnel is currently long enough that it's slower than going out the front door but hopefully there's a way to change that. I think it's cool enough to keep in the run for now.

Thanks! But honestly this one took so much more work than it might look like. This was the most routing I've done for a run ever and it took like 3 weeks to work through everything to be able to start trying out runs (on just GSI haven't even gotten to post GSI stuff).

nah he has an 8bitdo lite which has dpads instead of sticks so he can make precise inputs

Doing this with a procon would be a nightmare. It's definitely possible but idk how much of the arrow flight stuff would work. Bunny hops would make up most of the movement and you can do arrow flight out of a targeted jump to travel in a straight line but then you don't get a lot of speed and the speed would decay before the end of the long flights with no way to consistently regain momentum. Maybe someday someone will try it :)

Apparently that's a strat that gets used in Runeless runs (which I don't think made it onto the extensions leaderboard but is an interesting restriction for runs). It's not faster for any% afaik because of the bomb arrow chest launch but it's fun. Blindfolded routing has been a blast and brings out a ton of niche TotK things that I've never thought would be useful.

I was doing a glitch called Weapon State Transfer to make the msg not found sword (unbreakable sword from the intro) have 1 durability by transferring the weapon state of the tree branch and I need to pick up the tree branch for the glitch to actually work. A side effect of this is duplicating the mnf sword so I don't need to pick up the sword on the ground since I already have one in my inventory (and the one on the ground doesn't have the 1 durability that I'm looking for so I don't pick it up).
