Chroma Spark - the best part of this film (IMO) was when it was revealed that thor's long lost "friend from work" hulk turned out to be the grandmaster's gladiatorial champion. thor's look of absolute excitement combined with loki's sheer dread at remembering his brutal treatment at the hands of that "dull creature" during avengers 1 elevated that scene so much in my eyes. plus that conversation between hulk and thor in his room. hulk feelings of insecurity at being hated on earth therefore not wanting to leave sakaar and thor consoling him by assuring that he liked hulk more than banner. i could watch a *entire movie* focused just on hulk / thor talking and battling together - great scenes!!! 😎👍 LIKE# 1714

Almost every frame of this movie was like a heavy metal album cover. You could probably pause this movie at any random point and then paint whatever you see on the side of a van, and it would look awesome.

yup. they didn't want to spoil what was going to happen. this also happens in the logan trailer where x23 flips over the convenience store clerk her claws don't appear... but in the movie they do. also the civil war trailers when team tony and team cap are facing off, no spiderman... and then in the movie he is inserted in to those same scenes.

There's actually quite a few shots that were clearly changed in the trailer. Even the background for the scene where the hammer is destroyed. Surprised me for sure :)

Yes so many trailer scenes were different in the movie.. I was like wtf? Wanted to see Hella destroy Asgard by fire (like in the trailor) and have Thor and Loki come in blazing and save the day!

J Pierre the scenes with the flames destroying Asgard was in the movie, but Hela didn’t do it, Surtur did. The trailers mislead you into thinking Hela was the one who did it.

just watched it, thought it was hillarious, best thor film. He was just so badass, the lightning effect is just awesome, and when he just wipes out the waves of foot soldiers, so cool. Loki was sooo good aswell, hope he has a big part in infinity war, even if he does go to thanos' side. Hulk was perfect, loved his child like demeanour, he was so funny and bruce banner was great to. Valkyrie was sooo badass to, but I wanted to see more of her history, sounds so interesting and cool. As for the villian, Hela was great but I wanted more at stake with her or a more emotional arc, like maybe she killed odin. Grandmaster was funny, the executioner was a great choice to have in, his delivery and even his intoduction was just perfect. But my favourite character by far had to be Korg, just please give borg a cameo in infinity war, hell give him his own movie, have him join the ravagers of something. Also, best stan lee cameo yet😂 cant wait to see infinity war!!!

I didn't realize until after I saw the movie that they kind of foreshadowed Valkyrie being Asgardian. When She captured Thor and he said he was Odin's son she called him "your majesty." I assumed at first that most people knew who Odin was but no one else on the planet knew who Thor was. When we found out, later on, she was Asgardian it made sense that she knew that Thor was royalty. Also, Please tell me I'm not the only one that really hates the Black Widow/Banner romance? It feels so friggin forced. I'm really praying they use the fact that Banner was gone for two years to put an end to it as quickly as possible.

they changed a few shots from the trailers... Thor didn't have any lightning on him when he punched Hulk in the trailers, and yes he had his two eyes glowing on the rainbow bridge and then I don't remember seeing Loki "play" with his daggers on the rainbow bridge in the movie, I don't even remember seing Loki fightnig with these daggers like in the trailer. BTW can we talk about the number of bullets in Skurge's M4A4s because even though he runs out of ammo he had WAAAAYYYY too much for it to be logic...

2 - Yeah that was BRB face. The statue pretty much imply that Ares, BRB, Man-Thing and Bi-Beast were previous challengers of Sakaar. I just hope Bill made his way out Sakaar.

10:05 At the end of the film that's where my mind went. 'Cause that basically happened in the comics after Ragnarok; Thor rebuilt Asgard outside this tiny desert town in Oklahoma. They had a little mailbox outside the city. The Warriors Three went to town meetings. Asgardians would just go get milkshakes at the local diner. It was great (then it got destroyed, again).

So I have only seen bits of the other thor movies just an FYI. The odin death scene came out of nowhere but I liked it. How he was with his boys, in Norway. Eventhough he did so much damage Odin forgave Loki and talked about his mom, but let's face it Loki is a momma's boy. The one thing that made me feel a little odd was how it reminded me of Mufassa's ghost/ that turtle guy from Kung Fu Panda. So I guess in way when Strange says "He's waiting for you" he's acting like Rafiki in Lion King. Gosh I love film. P.S For once I understand why people like Loki as a character.

There was more than one Jesus-analoy for Thor, not just the mural: during his initial fight with Hela in the throne room, she has him pinned on the railing in a resemblance of a crucifiction - didn´t anybody notice that? And I think this is brilliantly entwined with his loosing an eye which, in Norse mythology, Odin traded for his wisdom. I think it´s great symbolism all in all, cleverly executed!

People complained about the part when Banner jumped out of the plane and hit the bridge but they don't understand that it was a call back to The Incredible Hulk when Banner jumped out of a plane to turn into the Hulk in that movie. It's hilarious that it didn't work this time.

The ear is green because as banner gets angry, he would start to turn and the veins would turn big and green and he contained it so it would reduce back to normal that's why for a second his ear is green.

I saw Thor Ragnarok last night. Matt Damon (Jason Bourne) cameo as Loki in the play. I Love How Bruce Banner pressed the birthday fireworks button on the jet. Stan Lee cuts Thor's hair.

According to some wikia I read, Sif was banished by Loki while he was still pretending to be Odin. As for Bruce Banner being dead: Remember the story he told during the first Avengers movie? He commited suicide by putting a gun in his mouth and pulling the trigger, but the Hulk spat it out again. So I think we can assume that Bruce simply cannot die as long as the Hulk still lives.

The scene with Skurge wasn't a doom reference. It was one of those 'Panel Recreation' moments that adaptations like to do nowadays (like this for example ) only in this case it was based on Skurge's actual comic book death

Anyone else think the end scene was due to Loki betraying them? The scene when Thanos ship blocked theirs. Since Asgard throne no longer exist for him to rule, when he saw the Tessaract in the vault he remembered the promise Thanos gave him, the promise to give him Earth if he gives him the Tessaract back in Avengers 1. He intentionally acted all goody goody to let Thor's guard down and called Thanos.

I didn't get that feeling, it seemed more like Thanos with the Gauntlet could sense the stone was on board. Loki's inability to leave the tesseract behind has caused a problem now Thanos has shown up. However Loki didn't actually know that the tesseract was an infinity stone. He knew Thanos wanted it, but not what it was. He's had no access to Shield or Avenger information since returning to Asgard, therefore I doubt he knows anything of infinity stones beyond what Thor may have told him while he was pretending to be Odin. If he did know and want it for Thanos why didn't he already remove it from Odin's treasure vault during Thor's absence, Odin and Thor weren't there to stop him. Why wait until until his return during an assault on Asgard and a plan to destroy it to suddenly recall the teesseract and grab it. So no I didn't get the - he knew it was an infinity stone, or that he intended to betray them to Thanos vibe. You could very well be right, I mean it is Loki so you never can be sure. I thought he took the tesseract because he wanted it. If he views Thanos as the winning side in a conflict with the avengers though. He will certainly switch sides, and give Thanos the infinity stone, not out of animosity but to ensure his survival. He is an opportunist. He may defect back though, and wait for the opportune time to betray Thanos, if he see's the tide shifting against him that's kind of just how Loki is.

Choco Banana That's just Thanos coming for Loki, like he said he would if he failed him. The deal was Thanos lends him the scepter and the chitauri to lead to win him the Earth in turn for the tesseract. Loki not only failed to retrieve the tesseract but he gave up the scepter to the avengers because he knew he lost the battle. It's plausible to assume that Loki has been avoiding Thanos. *Their alliance is over.* He'd betray Thor if it benefited him, but not under his current circumstance. He needs all the help he can get, if not Thanos will have him imprisoned.

To be fair the eternal flame was kept in a separate locked vault and Sirtir's crown was added at the beginning of the movie so they were not kept together for a long period of time.

You folks don't recognize a couple of the movie references. The colours, Hela's helmet, and the guard outfit's were all tributes to Jack Kirby. Carl Urban's stand with the M-16, Thor as a Frog, etc were all from Walt Simonson's brilliant run on the series, along with his Beta Ray Thor and Balder's related tales. Great stories.

Yeah the wolf was Fenris and Banner is not dead, certainly not from that fall. Remember in the MCU he told Widow he put a gun in his mouth and shot himself but turned into the hulk and said he cant die. Recovering Banner from the Hulk is likely to be one of the next two Hullk movies they announced

In the Infinity War trailer it shows Loki giving the Tesseract to Thanks meaning that may be Loki uses that in exchange for letting the Asgardians go but Thor puts up a fight and gets left behind.

Lady Sif wasn’t in ragnarok because of bad scheduling. The scenes they wanted her in were gonna be done while she was shooting something else so the two different shoots were conflicting in scheduling

Well ithink that the Asgardians are going to end up on Yodenheim.....Loki didn't just look at the Tesseract he also looked at the power source that will resore the relm of the frost giants and he is there King,so i think he has both and that will fulfill Odin's wishes from the first Thor movie to unite the 2 relms and end their war...also did anybody else see a Stormtrooper helmet in Skurge's pile of stuff at the beginningi am positive i saw one

I may be wrong but in regards to infinity gauntlet pretty sure Hela says "fake" before she pushes it over so maybe continuity Is still there 😊

Don't forget about the purple hued (Soul Infinity Stone) that if I'm not mistaken "Black Panther" has that helps him connect with different dimensions; one being the spiritual realm of his ancestors and the (Goddess Bast). This is the story line that ties him into the "Infinity War", has him officially join in with the "Avengers" to fight this Great Evil called (Thanos) and save the Universe.

I'm not 100% on Marvel Cosmology, but I think each parallel universe has nine realms, and each universe has its own Sorcerer Supreme. That's why Dr. Strange got involved in Ragnarok, because universal problems are in his wheelhouse. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I just realized that they pretty much established in the movie that Hela couldn't be killed by stabbing weapons. She was stabbed numerous times - run completely through - during the movie. At the end of the day, it was a stabbing weapon that Surtur used, and Surtur was engulfed in the Eternal Flame (which gave her power), when she was defeated. I dunno. Lots of different variables that could give her a way of coming back. I mean, what happened to Surtur, when he destroyed Asgard? Did he just disappear?

Bruce says in Avengers, he shot himself in the mouth and the Hulk just spit it out. That line tells me, when Banner hit the bridge and then the Hulk was delayed in his appearance, Bruce isn’t dead. They’re the same body after all, just one is powered up.

Guys, if Hulk turns back into Banner, he will not have a broken Neck... that's not how it works!!! Hulks body was be broken like Banner's when he transformed on the Bifröst, but since he has a healing factor on par with Wolverine's, the transformation would also repair him. Since Hulk will be physically intact when transforming back, Banner would "inherit" a completely intact body.

So glad you guys loved this movie. It was so much fun and one of my personal favourite Marvel movies. Not for everyone of course, but the best adaption of the Thor comics yet.

Aaron seems to have missed that in The Avengers, Tony Stark calls Thor "Point Break". When they're on the bridge of the ship, Tony says he has a "mean swing", taps him on the arm, and calls him "Point Break", referencing his resemblance to Patrick Swayze from that movie.

Bruce cant die like regular humans a gunshot or falling damage will wound him and then the hulk will come out and regenerate. Most likely when hulk sees Black Widow again it will cause Banner to come back out. Just fyi great stuff guys!

Bruce mentions in the first Avengers that he tried to kill himself by eating a bullet and the Hulk spit it out. He can't die by normal means but I think by making the attempt Bruce was turning the keys over to Hulk completely. They said there's a larger arc planned out for Hulk that will span multiple movies and this is the start of that.
