I doubt it's because it's set in the last he called it trash. I love Jane Austen and Charles Dickens - period dramas can be the best. But Bridgerton is trash. Based on character, 'story', script, costume- it's all bad.

the silly thing is, they probably wouldn't even be wearing corsets, and certainly not that tight, because the dress waistlines of the era were so far above the waist; it's practically at the sternum. you wouldn't even be able to see a lady's waist under the loose fabric

They wore stays and at that time were more like a sports bra so no way would they be too tight. Also corsets were never too tight at any point in history.

@Mac McKenzie In the past I've been annoyed at certain picks like Doctor Who and Hunter x Hunter just because while not watching is obviously what you do in that scenario but knowing that slot is dead to me for hundreds of weeks. Fortunately for dissenters though this is only 8 episodes long. It's not the end of the world so I hope people don't spaz out too much.

Makes me smile that you're doing this - my female friend forced me to watch it and I secretly enjoyed it. Julie Andrews is the voice of the narrator. And if you listen carefully, all the music for the dances are classical arrangements of modern music. For example, in one episode they use Billy Eilish's "Bad Guy".[Edit] I should have watched to the end! :-)

The "Enemies to Lovers" and "Fake Dating" are very classic troops in many Romance related books or movies, hell even in manga and anime. But they are certainly good for a reason, the pinning, tension and attraction. Oh, by the way, the Bridgerton books covers all Bridgerton siblings finding there own partners, one book for each.

I'd love them to react to Being Human (the UK version, the US version was beige garbage). In fact, I'd like ANYONE to react to it. It's such a good show, but it kinda ended before reactions really became a thing, and it wasn't a massive international generation-defining show like Buffy, so not as many people remember enough to suggest watching it despite it being long over.

This is based on a series of romance novels. It's set in the same era as Jane Austen's novels called the Regency Era because the Prince Regent was basically in charge due to King George III literally losing his mind. What's awesome about this series is the colorblind casting. I knew they would like Eloise! She is an icon! I wish I could be Lady Danbury. She takes no prisoners or bs! Fun fact: I shipped Simon and Daphne as soon as they met! Also, Lady Whistledown is voiced by Julie Andrews.

The other day I though, AS A JOKE, imagine of they did reactions to Bridgerton hahah. I can't believe you are actually doing it, this is hilarious but totally awesome :) If you guys wanna watch something like this but with a very dark humor, I recommend "The great" with Nicholas Hoult and Elle Fanning :)
