The Bridgerton kids' names are alphabetical - Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Daphne, Eloise, Francesca, George, [EDIT: *Gregory] and Hyacinth. But the fact that the boys are older is not what gives them the knowledge of what sex is. The boys of this high social class went to school. It was very likely a boarding school with easy access to a brothel, so most boys lose their virginities young and "sow their wild oats," while the girls of this high social class remain ignorant and virginal at home. (This is actually rather important to the plot.) The girls' education only went so far as like maybe 3rd grade under a governess. Sure, the rich girls can read, which is better than people of lower classes, but they won't have access to books that will actually teach them anything. Eloise complains that she can't go to college like a man. Also, it's of note that Marina isn't a virgin, but that's because her virtue wasn't protected the way Daphne's is. It's the same with Anthony's opera singer. The women that these rich boys sleep with are women who were not protected or from a lower class, so they are fallen women. That's why there's this sick dichotomy in history where a woman is either an angel or a whore, and there is nothing in between.

If you want to know the age order of the Bridgerton children, they were named in alphabetical order. Daphne is the 4th child and the eldest daughter. Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Daphne, Eloise, Francesca, Gregory, & Hyacinth. Also, as as a professional vocalist, I snorted in laughter listening to your neti pot conversation. I love that Aaron's brain stuttered on the level of ignorance that the delicately brought up girls had regarding procreation. There must be a balanced way of teaching teenagers about sex without them deciding to immediately try it out, but I feel we haven't ever achieved it.
