To me flashbacks only suck if it's something that's already been shown. Like, someone has an important conversation and then a few minutes later it shows the exact same thing, as if the audience couldn't possibly guess what the character is thinking otherwise. When a show or movie does that it's just... wwhhyyyyy. Lost for me did the perfect flashback -- it was probably the main hooking factor (other than the realistic feel and acting right off the bat). You see the characters first and are allowed to get your first impression of them, and then you learn more about them by seeing what happened in their past, and it just really was very well done.

He did great guiding Calvin through game of thrones and that was 3-4 years ago. He 100% knows how to lead someone through a show without spoiling it for them

i see a lot of you are pointing out GOT, but Eric didn´t know the ending of that series, he was way a head yes, but even he couldn´t imagine the finale, this is different, i´m just hoping that he will not spoil something out of excitement like looking at Ricks face every time something important happens, even if Rick does not see it.

I would argue best ensemble cast, but yeah this show has an amazing cast. almost every single main actor ended up doing something huge because of this show. Props to the casting director on this one!

@@jxm8284 nope, they thrived on keeping people coming back to figure out the mysteries hence they kept adding more as while some characters were loved and others loathed people kept coming back to see if their theories were correct or if their friends were instead lol. The characters were great but often felt like just pawns on a game board as everything going on around them was far bigger than any character.

Most actual mysteries are answered...

since you took the time to reply to a three year old comment, I'll take the time too :) I rewatched Lost sometime after this comment and you're right, I interpreted it that way because when Jin first put the sea urchin on the tray, he slapped Sun's hand away and went to give some to Hurley (who refused) and then to Claire. Since there was never an explanation for why he wouldn't let his wife have some first (except to make the audience think he was a huge turd, - very intentionally at this point), I felt the whole thing was suspicious and came up with this poison test interpretation. But if one translates the things he says in Korean, he basically just tells Hurley and Claire that there is enough for everybody and especially Claire should eat (bacause she was pregnant). totally harmless, but I only much later had this translated

My theory has always been that all of Jin's uptight behaviour early on is due to his interaction in the airport bathroom with the guy who works for Sun's dad (who has been following them). For all Jin knows, one of Paik's men could have survived the crash and still be watching both him and Sun (this would completely explain his OTT reaction to the watch/Michael, for example). When he slapped Sun's hand away from the food, I thought it might be some cultural thing where you have to feed others before yourself...and if he thinks he's being watched, then he will be behaving impeccably (socially) out of fear. Just my take on it...and thanks for replying!
