This type of setup is the kind of thing i picture in my dreams when it comes to playing anything even remotely related to a dungeon crawl. The amount of time and effort thats gone into the models here is absolutely incredible and stunning. These are the sorts of improvements that elevate board gaming into an entirely different realm.. great work, nice setups, and hopefully all of your effort and trouble is rewarded tenfold when it comes to the immersion and experience delivered by playing with such a beautiful setup.

New to tabletop gaming, but I've always been fascinated with RPG style games. I'm going to get Gloomhaven. I really had no idea there was such a community for customization and adding your own creative touches to your favorite games. most of what you're saying sounds like a completely other language. and yet I'm fascinated. I'm so glad I found your channel. this is all so cool

my friends are boring as hell too. they talk about football all the time (none of them can run 100 feet without they die anyways). i just bought whole collection of DESCENT games with every single upgrade expansions etc. no one still plays with me. so dont feel bad , you are not alone

true... Most of my friends and family that i play boardgames with are not able to play anything else than the most basic board games. Even if Gloomhaven is not that complicated in therms of playing, they just say it looks to complicated and are affraid that it takes time to play. If i make a boardgame day then iam gona play all day long with food inbetween. I always say its easy when you have someone to tell you how it works but they dont even want to try...

I like how you did the low walls. Too many tile sets have high walls and it makes manipulating the environment difficult. Excellent work!

Nice, I'm painting up the KS Dungeon Saga now (With expansions & A lot extra Heroes), and I am planning on making 3D Printed walls to go around the tile floors (and I will put magnets in Walls base so they stay tight to sheet metal under Neoprene Table topper

Just bought gloom haven. So this idea will be a future goal. But as for now I will use my old collector card sleeves for holding the cards... great idea... and I will enjoy buying monsters to replace the card stand monsters.... 😁 and oh need to make those foam core boxes too

If you look at my channel, I have a couple of painting tutorials that make it pretty easy. Having a good primer is key to painting on plastic.

Fantastic detail. I am fascinated by the amount of work you've put into all this and have been sharing your video around. Thought the magnetic sliders on the character sheets and the magnetic map were very innovative as well. Would love to know how much time you've spent to date blinging Gloomhaven.

Not sure how much time total but a ton, especially for the board. If you click on the hirst arts link in the descriptions section, it will give you an idea of how much time it is to making just the board. The other stuff is easy in comparison.

Yeah, i think I remember seeing photos online of someone else who used Heroscape terrain--definitely would work.

Yup I use Heroscape bits in my games. It's very easy to set up and tear down. I also use random props from other games (like Hero Quest).

print on paper and laminate, then use adhesive magnet to attach to board, adhesive magnet roll, print out map at kinkos or whatever, cool!

I'd very much like to do something similar with my Gloomhaven but I wouldn't know where to start. Mainly where do you get the set pieces? Something like Games Workshop or 3D printed? Also, how heavy does a scene of 3D boards and minis get? My Gloom setup sits on a panel attached to 4 pulleys to clear the table for other games. It has a load capacity of 30kg (66 pounds).

I realize this video is 4 months old at this point, but unfortunately all of the images you had uploaded to the Hirst Message Board detailing this project are no longer available. Any chance you could repost them or that you have them available anywhere else? I'd love to try and replicate this project!

I love the detail! Did you create all the furniture, like the corner cabinet, using Hirst Arts molds? For some reason, I am unable to locate the proper Hirst molds for some of the furniture you show in your video.

Those glass shelves look a lot like those Ikea ones, but with extra shelves. Looks like you used clips to hold them up. Got any details on that and where you got the extra shelves? Cheers (from someone with just 3 shelves in his, and too many minis)

If you go to the descriptions underneath the video, you will see a link to the Hirst Arts boards which go into greater detail on the build. Bruce just came out with dedicated molds for this game which is a lot simpler to use than my method so I would suggest that route. But if you want to know what I used, here it is: Mold 70, Fieldstone wallMold 71 FS Accessories for the door and frame Mold 75 Ruined FS Mold 77 FS Octagon for corners Mold 80 Dragon's Teeth Acc. for the stuff on top of door frames Molds 222, 223 Trench Plank

I think you are asking about the pocket pages and the cards for Zombicide? If so, the pocket pages definitely fit Zombicide cards. The Gloomhaven cards are mini-European whereas Zombicide is mini-American and the pockets fit both sizes.

No 3D prints here. These were made out of casting plaster with Hirst Arts molds.

I'm impressed! The magnetic map is great. I have a long weekend of spare time ahead of me, and I wanted to dedicate it on playing Gloomhaven. But now I want to make the magnetic map first. :) Which size did you print the map? and did you do some re-scaling on the magnetic 'stickers'?

I downloaded the files for both the map and the stickers from Boardgamegeek.com. I kept the map size as is (which is the same as the board) and didn't have to change the scale at all.
