@JayPoole19868 жыл бұрын
The lack of riffs in California is breaking my damn heart. Outside of Travis Blink was never known for being great musicians, but Tom is still one of the great riff writers in rock. Without him Blink just sounds like every turn of the century pop-punk band that just relied on vocal hooks and ignored the idea of having the music also be catchy via the use of single note riffs.
@SpringsEternal8 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I think the only riff Matt wrote is Brohemian Rhaspody. If he did, Matt should've been much more creative. (Check out This Could Be Love, Radio, Mercy Me, & Kick Rocks by Alkaline Trio for some of my personal favorite riffs by him.)

I do agree with the first comment, Yes 100% the Tom, Mark, Travis trio is what truly made blink incredible. But Tom without a doubt embodied everything Blink was about and his personality/style made Blink what it was. You can tell just by listening to BCR and the first Ava album even bc several of those songs he originally wrote for the next Blink album. Love or hate him Tom Delonge is the spirit of Blink. 🤘

Dude, seriously Travis is phenomenal. I mean his 4/4 high hats are unique and distinct yet he executes them flawlessly. When he comes in with the doubles on 1 and 2, perfectly spaced. So great to the ears. As perfect on video as he is live. The outcome is the same every time. Very consistent. A lot of bands will skip on more difficult beats,riffs, and notes when playing live. Travis seriously never skips anything.
