El Hammamy's ability to respond to gruelling rallies with power and precision is truly amazing to watch. Kudos to Gohar, but Hammamy on top today.

As vicious as her attritional game is, Gohar has two big weaknesses: First, she has only a very poor and weak attacking short game. And, secondly, she is very vulnerable to an incisive short game. El Hammamy in particular seems to have read her number perfectly!

Wow what a game that was the womens game is just exploding these days the standard is amazing, what a fighter hammamay is never gives up always trying to make you play that extra shot, just got the better of Gohar today, good attacking squash from both players no doubt there will be more battles between these two in the future

Just out of interest: Is it allowed to have a foot inside the service box when the racket hits the ball during the serve?

you're supposed to have at least one foot in the box while serving (if the ball makes contact with your racquet and no feet are in the box, it's a foot fault and you lose the point)

@@MrJoel3498 Yeah, I know, I have been playing squash for 33 years now. It was just a sarcastic comment. These pro players are committing foot faults all the time and are *never* called out for it. Time to drop the rule, I say. At least in pro squash. Or add an "ok if close enough" footnote to the rule book.

Gohar’s one dimensional power game doesn’t work with Hammamy, she needs to mix it a little more. Easier said than done of course, hammamy is a more complete varied play style.
