The money gained from Vivendi Games to make World Of Warcraft was the downfall someday. A few years later after release, Activision bought out Vivendi. and the downfall of WoW slowly happened throughout Wrath. With a company that big, ya know for sure they pulled staff members out of the Blizzard group to put some of that "magic" into other Activision games.

The execs need to watch this and realize this is what we want. We just want to be nerds with the devs.

It will sound silly but real, but the downfall was Paladin in Horde and Shaman in Alliance. At this point Blizzard started to make things even to both factions/races standard, that led to lack of differentiation and originality of the game. Today we all look alike just ability names change.

5:08 Customization ? Sockets ? If you wanted more variation ? then revert the weapon normalization of late Vanilla instead of the meaningless sockets where 99.99 % of players use the exact same setup of sockets. God forsaken copy/paste game just 1 year after launch.
