In this one we were called out on Fathers day to attend a blocked drain. The Customer had already lifted the drain covers before the arrived and determined they were all full.
As all the chambers were full we decided the issue was the boundary trap so we started there by probing the benching to work out the layout at the bottom. once we found the direction we first tried to plunge it. with some perseverance we pushed a hole through the blockage and the chambers all emptied. once empty we found that the drain was a common shared drain and not our jurisdiction. we cleaned the chamber and his entry point but couldnt go any further.
after we were done with the blockage we moved on to finding the screwdriver the gentleman had dropped into one of the chambers while trying to lift them. the drain was holding water and it was very hard to see so we decided to use a jet to blow back the screwdriver and retrieve it. it came right out.
Once we were done we flush tested and rinsed out the other chambers before finishing up.
At the end i added a little trip because we forgot to pick up my rods and had to go back to get them. there was a nice view of the south downs.
