Heads-up on Strike and Fade: you don't need to use it immediately after a unit shoots. The timing is just "Your Shooting phase" and the target is "One T'au Empire Battlesuit unit from your army that can Fly whose attacks have been resolved this phase". You can fire your entire army, then choose who uses S&F (if anyone).

Just started 40K and building T’au. Really cool starting to see a fun and semi-workable list start to take shape.

Tau is one of my armies, I think they are decent and are one of the armies that with point changes will feel great. I think we have a good number of workable data sheets in addition tot he ones shown here. If you don't want to get forge world (like me), I like I an ethereal with through unity deviation in the back to get lethal hits instead of rr hits. Breacher fish are decent as well. vespid are kroot are great for scoring. broad sides with heavy rail rifles do work. shadowsun is good. riptides don't put out the damage I would like but the are close and not worthless. Even long strike can be good imo, it just depends what he goes up against.

For packing models, I indv. wrap with bubblewrap, then surround with packing peanuts. and mail it with USPS.

Death Company reroll all of their hit rolls and you couldn't allocate any of the mortal wounds to the Commander since he was still attached to a bodyguard unit.

Deep strike is separate from strategic reserves and is up to half the army in points or units

Didn't Adrian win? The cap for bring it down on tactical is 8 not 5 and he killed the redemptor and repulsor. +3 points equals win.

Why did Adrian roll so many Hazardous Checks for his Crisis suits?? Tau weapons are odd. That's rough.

Sadly when you spot a unit...if others in the unit don't shoot the spotted unit they suffer -1bs

Yeah, hurts some units. But Crisis with Kayon active don't feel so bad in splitt. You role for the 6s anyway.

Any army being piloted by a knowledgeable player can be lethal. Some armies are clearly stronger than others at the moment though

Nice battle report. But honestly i really dont like the "blood angels" list. IT just shoudnt be named like that:) There should some rules that forces you to take f.e. at least 50% units from a codex to take it

50% from ba index would result in one dimensional flandersated lists... Ba are at core still codex astartes following. Reqular battle company is the core. Now of course list still bit off in terms of fluff. Intercessors etc should be core of ba list. But overall most units in background compliant list would come from regular lists. Sanguinary guard is main intentional difference and that's honour guard not supposed to be majority. And death company is flaw ba's don't want to see fluffwise. Would be odd to see huge quantity of them. People should get away from ba=all jump pack all melee mindset. That came because rules heavily favoured that so players went to that ignoring fluff for game power.

@@bakuchidancerwell, not really, they still use vehicles in the fluff. Demolishes, predators, dreads, etc. as far as troops, DC may be flawed , but they are the vanguard troops that are unleashed in the most desperate times- devastation of Baal Battle for diamor

@@dildoswaggins2907 yes? Of course they use vehicles. And yes dc is used but for one they can't form intentionally them. They can't go "50 death company for next battle". It's down to how many have fallen recently and seeing how long making new marines takes and regular casualties they cant be that common. Most battles will have none. Half the army would be extremely rare situation.
