Weapon is called Unmayker but it can't kill the maykr. Makes total sense.

Very good overview. It's a shame they didn't take the occasion to make the Unmaykr more important by making it the only weapon capable of, say, penetrating or disabling their yellow shield. That way fighting Blood Maykrs would be less repetitive and restrictive.

Making the Unmaykr the only weapon to penetrate its shields wouldve made it more restrictive as you're forced to use THAT against the shields.

@@M.A.R.S. well, you'd still be able to fight it the current way, so it'd be far less restrictive than it is currently, really. you just wouldn't have to wait for a power attack from it

It is very informative. What I find the most useful are the ways to interrupt the attacks. That makes blood maykrs less scary in tight and narrow spaces. Thanks.

Tbf it's hard to pull off, requires 3 fuel AND you get more ammo by just headshotting them. It's basically useless.

the runes effects not working on the maykrs really looks like a bug to me , does that happend to other demons?

Great informative video as always. Though Honestly I feel like this reinforced my hate for this chess piece. There's just not much more to fighting it than traffic light wait + headshot or otherwise suffer annoying overly punishing attacks. Plus there's the jank of rocket headshots not giving ammo and GK runes not applying to it.

@@stonksrus my point was the zone it's funneling me into is boring and unfun. their intention here doesn't stop it from being just traffic light or get fucked. nearly every other chess piece funnels you into a zone where there's a variety of engagements they can cause with how they interact with demons and the player. blood maykr's have two: traffic light + headshot or be annoyed. all to teach arena awareness? so like every other piece on the board? it's not even challenging. it's trivial. heck the spirit has more going for it with ammo and arena management. with b.maykrs it's wait for traffic light then headshot.

@@plushiepenguin the point of it is to force u out of habits such asquickswitch weapon combos (aka a delete button) being able to move around (its ground attacks with AOF as well as its slam which disallows u getting too close) and also it commands your attention bc it is so annoying i do agree it breaks the games pacing in a different way but i see it as more of a respedt thing i knjow one of them is in the arena and it commands my attention but that doesnt have to mean focusing on it right away i can also keep focused on where it is and navigate around it which to me is fun. plus the fact u can pop them at the right time when u need ammo and it can be more conveinant than chainsaws actually adds to the fun zone in my opinion with its unique take on resource management

@@stonksrus I've already given my two cents so I'll stop this here. You can't change my opinion by regurgitating what Hugo already said and I've already heard from his streams and interviews. And honestly the whole combo habits argument doesn't work for me since it mechanically more skill to perform a combo compared to waiting then pointing and shooting. Not helped by already having 3 ready to use delete buttons that trivialize the enemy and are already in my quick switch rotation. Simply put, I just hate em because to me they're a QTE you have to aim at and overcompensates that fact with it's annoyingness and rewards. I don't even mind being annoyed by an enemy, half the roster of Eternal does exactly that and they're great for it.

Thanks for making these. This game is so hectic the awesome AI sometimes is very easily overlooked. They put a ton of work and love into this game and it shows. I think I'd rate it my favorite FPS and that's a big deal considering how much I love HL2, HL1, DOOM1 &2, and DOOM 2016

I don't understand the 8000 HP part, it dies from a single destroyer blade shot and two lock on volleys? Or is it just weak to those?

I believe the rocket explosion radius affects the head when it hits the body.

Blook maykrs are just better maykr drones.The primary issue I have with maykr drones is that they pose very little threat to the player they are literally health and ammo bundles floating around the arena waiting for you to open them.Blood maykrs not only act as a threat but you also cant just kill them whenever you feel like it which means you cant cheese your way out of a tough situation.

Correct me if I’m wrong but they nerfed their shielding in future updates right? Since now I find them more engaging due to their multitasking requirements they require from me. Honestly like this enemy a good chunk.
