Loved this. Age 8 I listened to Clive every week. His commentary was immaculate. I knew very young that Clive had friends on both sides, but was always impartial. The 3-1 FA Cup victory in 1986 was the ultimate result re: the apogee of LFC v Everton

I can still hear the jingle on Radio City's 'Midweek Match' programme and the great games at Anfield back in the 70's & 80's

We heard his voice so often as kids. When someone at school said to me 'you know Tyldesley is a United fan?', I got grumpy and said 'don't be daft, you can tell he loves us.'
