Formed in Los Angeles, the original Bloodstone band members are Harry Williams - keyboards/vocals, Charles McCormick - bass/vocals (current), Charles Love - vocals/guitar (died 2014), Willis Draffen - vocals/guitar (died 2002), and Eddie Summers - vocals/drums.
Oldies But Goodies favorite Natural High was a #10 US Billboard Hot 100 and #4 R&B hit in 1973. Outside Woman reached #2 the US R&B chart.

They're a band. He's lead on some songs, but bass player is primarily a lead singer also. But everyone otherwise is singing and playing an instrument, other than one person.

@@angelathomas3339 yeah, that period is interesting to me. Our family was military. We were living in Germany, early 70s. One radio station: AFN (Armed Forces Network). Not a ton of R&B. Thanks to the internet era, I back tracked, and have fallen in love with all that soul. Again, we had SOME, if it made the Top 40. But listening to whole Albums FREE on the KZfaq is unbelievably amazing to me. The internet is a blessing and a curse (eats up time for me). 😀

Mr Harry Williams is big guy in overalls. He was still performing with the group from a wheelchair when they were on PBS specials. Now he is only one left in Bloodstone. It is sad because their songs were big hits and such a very different sound 🎶🌟🎶

One of the greatest groups of all times! They had a drummer by the name of Steve Ferone, I may have the last name spelled wrong, but he played with the Average White Band, I remember seeing them play in Louisville Kentucky in the 80's it was odd to me, with their name and with the Black Drummer, they were AWESOME, no insult, I'm Black also 😂!

I agree 100%!!! I just saw the Stylistics, the Spinners and the Manhattans at the LACF. You talk about a great concert....maaaaaannnnn, the songs took me back....Feels so good to be loved, Sadie, Stone in love, etc, etc, etc. The Spinners closed the show and was on stage over an hour. I love old school music!!!

I'm stunned! I dated Charles McCormick for a little bit in the late '60s when he and the guys moved to LA from the Midwest. They were called the Sinceres and played at a club called the Peyton Place on 38th and Western in LA. He was a really sweet guy! RIP Charles! 🙏🏽😢❤️

The music feeds your soul, that is why it is called soul music! Real voices and instruments...I believe we still have an abundant of talent, but the greedy producers see profit and looks over talent. Hopefully, the younger generation will produce music like this and we can buy directly from them via the internet. Bloodstone is one of the best quartet singing groups of all time they have all the ranges that you could ever want in a four-man singing group first 10 or second tenant the third tender and baritone to Harmony was fantastic I got to give them a lot of credit you know especially for them as a band because that many bands have four singers who could take me in a song they were great God bless them

Wow... As a person that normally listens to metal music and heavy rock... This is absolutely beautiful! The chemistry and the Dynamics from the drummer all the way to the vocalists is amazing!!

@@Geordan419 Thank you! 🖤 Today's music is great but after the auto tune, producing magic, computer generated VST's, etc...what is real anymore? With this live performance it is all raw talent... no back tracking, no effects... just real instruments, plugged into real amps with hot microphones 🙏🤘😎
