This song is so sad, but I love it's purity and great storytelling. Now that my grandparents and other loved ones are gone, this song resonates with me. Everyone has had a Sadie in their lives. Rest in peace Henry Fambrough, the last remaining member of the Spinners who left us 2 days ago. RIParadise!!!! What a beautiful tribute to Philippe's mother. You can tell he really loved her. There are so many of us who can resonate to this song. I remember my grandmothers who worked hard to provide for the family.

My great gran, Sadie Mae, saved my life. My nearly lifeless, infant, body was transported to the hospital by an unknown White guy who appeared on the street, just in time and disappeared after I was taken in at the ER and saved. the world turns on the selfless acts of the silent Sadies and other every day heroes.

Philippe 'Soul' Wynne, to me, had the most pure soul voice. I think this is my favorite soul performance ever. Everything he does is perfect and his ad-libbing makes it that much better. I love when he takes the mic down and takes us to church. Well Well Well

no doubt the greatest of all mothers songs. no other song comes close.this song should have hit a million in sales. Philippe Wynne could reach deep down in your soul and rip out your heart strings. the emotions and feelings are powerful enough to make a lame man walk and blind man talk about seeing again.

I just attended a party for a 80 year old MAN. As an array of people stood and gave testimony to the goodness and effectiveness of this person on the lives of others, I wondered why very few of our everyday success stories are publicized. A good husband, loving father and stepfather, a supportive grandfather, a caring co-worker, neighbor, church member, and most of all my brother. Luv ya Steve.

Every time I hear this song, it makes me think of the "Sadie" who was in my life, my mom, and how I did not appreciate all she did until it was too late! Please do not do what I did. Celebrate your "Sadie" everyday of her life! Thank you, mom, for your beautiful spirit that was passed down to my daughters!!!

Beautiful sound and lyrics cause my Mom always made me wake up mad early on Sundays for children church... Music was the ish back then, wish I could've been around when this kind of music premiered.. 2016 and beyond...
