Love how frequent the update has been of late. Any chance for varieties? You were playing PLO5-6 before, and higher stakes. Thanks again for sharing your thought process

Yeah back then I could nuke off like 20k and my then-GF would just be upset/mad. I think my now-Wife would slice me up before the divorce. Also doesn't help that I'm really really REALLY scared of online-cheating , esp in 5/6 card PLO as of late. If I have access to charts, I assume my opponents do as well.

Great video! I'm coming from blackjack advantage play and am interested in poker. I understand a bit more than the basics but what resources would you recommend to learn?

It may be out dated but I feel it's still very relevant if you're trying to beat lower stakes NLH (crushlivepoker with bart hanson) particularly his OLD stuff from like 2015s, not newer. I used to watch & listen to that stuff every night before bed. His new content I have no opinion on.

Any feedback welcomed, how's the blue color theme on the eyes?

The white on that particular shade of blue is has a low contrast. It’s almost like the blue is too bright.

Care to share your poker journey since initial coming on the scene? What games have you been playing, move up or down level, balance between study and play etc. Love it Josh

@@dodoman288 I think the major thing that kept me afloat was that in my mid 20s, I was still living at home with my parents. Which allowed me to turbo build my BR without any fears of going busto. The rest is history :) - as for studying, I had a knack for pre-solver era and was pretty good inutiton wise. Post solver era, I don't study much (compared to a pro).

Sorry for the rough cut out, still not 100% with the edits. I bet $65 on the turn and every1 folded. Plan is if (1) caller i go bigger than pot.

I think J9 hand is fine to play as you did. although, not even sure what triple barrel bluffs you would have on that board, and you probably don't need to even have triple barrell bluffs in multiway pots. I think most Ax calls there since they chop with many other Ax
@AdvantagePlayer
@AdvantagePlayer Ай бұрын
Yeah a normal sb calling into the open field is kinda rough. I guess I could barrel it with 56dd and 78dd - on lower river runouts. I think ultimately it's dicey so I just gave up in my head on that turn card.
@timothynguyen4446
@timothynguyen4446 Ай бұрын
I mean, if the population underbluffs double barrels than folding QQ there is just absolutely standard, no? Because if population underbluffs, then you can get the greenlight to check-down or value bet the QQ on a street in the times they do decide to play A-high boards passively.
@AdvantagePlayer
@AdvantagePlayer Ай бұрын
I think it gets kinda complicated if you split your range, like QQ into checks here. I mean I don't really have any value that would x flop other than top set. So it's kinda like, if they bet I auto lose. But then they rarely bluff. But what if its like a block-bet, from a IDK player. I think merging QQ into my overall strat will just make life easier for my overall line.

I'm kinda curious actually, maybe I'll look it up later and post it if I run out of content from the casino.

Do you cap yourself per day or reload if you lose?
@AdvantagePlayer
@AdvantagePlayer Ай бұрын
First orbit I usually buy in for $500, look around, identify the stacks, and then top up to $800 by the next orbit. I stay 500 if too many short stacks, and deep stack is competent.
@AdvantagePlayer

I usually bring and cap myself after ~10 buy-ins. I figure around that number, I'll start tilting for sure. I've walked away from GREAT AMAZING games cus I was stuck like $4-5K after 8 hours at a 2/5. Everyone's tilting/threshold is different. But for the VEELOG, I only play 4-5 hours a day max. My life has changed from the past 5-7 years.

I feel like betting QQ you’re only getting call with an ace and only folding their bluff. Population usually don’t bet if they don’t have the ace unless it’s a aggro villain, and they tend to shut down by river
@AdvantagePlayer
@AdvantagePlayer Ай бұрын
Yep QQ will rarely get much value from JJ or worse, maybe 1 street. The theory I believe is, while QQ may underperform as a cbet than check line, my overall strategy performs better as a 100% cbet than a split x/b stratety. In the real world, I would probably lose more money if I started splitting checks because then I'd need to put AT/A5/A4 into them. My value line gets AK-AQ. Gets really messy. I personally havent given it much thought nor studying, perhaps I'll make a video over this sometime if content runs low in the casino.

Should refer other players to position or villain. It's disrespectful calling grandpa, grandma, gramps, or person by race.
@AdvantagePlayer
@AdvantagePlayer Ай бұрын
I think it's in good faith, light jest. Also easier for the audience to track player by description than position which you must find Button on a tiny screen. Perhaps I'm underestimating how offensive this is, if more people chime in I'll certainly cave since it's no biggie to me.

Its definitely not. The level of sensitivity of people is just unprecendented. It is a nice way to remember opponents when you take notes as long as its not insulting terms. I dont how "gramps" is an insult for christ sake.

at half time, i finally realized AZN means asian. your graphics are awful but i enjoy your playing style. if you want your viewers to follow you in the video, try to change how you represent the differen players on the screen. Kudos for using a 2-color deck. I never watch vlogs with 4 colors
@AdvantagePlayer
@AdvantagePlayer Ай бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. Regarding the AZN, I generally use that if the text box is running out of space (or laziness perhaps). Other than that, I assume comestic wise, color scheme, text box, and positioning are all good other than the description of players correct? Think this vlog has come a far way just from 3 weeks ago from the pilot episode but always looking to peak it up.
