Yea I wouldn’t recommend jamming that spot in live 2-5 with QQ…. You’ll probably only get called by better if you rip QQ for 150BB over a 4 BB open and 2 calls
@AdvantagePlayer
@AdvantagePlayer 11 күн бұрын
GTO wants a jam with only AK & QQ, nothing else in the mix so it plays more as an equity-denial, trying to take down the pot. If we do get called by EP, sometimes we'll be okay since they will have AK. I'll try pulling it off once heheh

@@coryaw95 Probably because if you all-in your KK & AA with your QQ and AK, now whenever you do a normal raise with the rest of your hand, your range is incredibly weak. Not to mention your opponents won't call that often, so having them fold when u have AA is a shame. But AK youre happy with it.

I mispoke: @1:20 - I meant at 150bb depths, you have different options depending on how many people preflop. But at 100bb, you just 3bet standard, there's no jamming. Also important to note: if you made the 2 callers earlier position, Asian Villain AQ goes from 50%/50% raise/call, to having 30% folds because QQ is now in the earlier positions "trapping range". So overall original raiser will have to tighten range and vice versa.

AT hand is painful. I think after you triple barrel, buttins range is really condensed by the river. Since on JJ99 on the turn, when you bet and get called, they are folding out all counterfeit underpairs. So their range is all Jx/9x/some AQo/TT/QTs/KTs. When you bet on river, i assume all their value hands are calling, and gou are only getting QT/KT and maybe other A high to fold. As always, like the videos with solver commentary in them.
@AdvantagePlayer
@AdvantagePlayer 14 күн бұрын
I think that's why I'm supposed to only bet small, at 20% or less freq. To prevent&block being bluffed and push out other Ax. Can do this for 1/3rd or less sizing. I think that's why I giggled during my commentary, cus I know I wasn't gonna get 9x to fold often. Esp not with a reg vs reg history.

That AA top set hand is just patently absurd lol. Obviously would have sucked a lot if you had AK rather than AA, but you get gifted moments like this otherwise. With the 99 hand on turn if you’re overbetting with value what’s your bluff?
@AdvantagePlayer
@AdvantagePlayer 15 күн бұрын
JT, T8 and occasional 45 suited. Mix with A4/A5 at lower frequency. These would be my natural bluffs I'll arrive at. GTO wants crazy shit though. Like KJo does 1.5x overbet. I'll probably never have that in a live 2-5 NL game. It's also important to note because I'm using such a wide range of bet sizes, it's really hard to know how often this spot will come up again, and whether I randomize 25% pot with a hand like 45 vs betting 50-100% pot, which changes my line.
@TheNow_Now
@TheNow_Now 15 күн бұрын
@@AdvantagePlayerwhat is the thinnest you can go for value as an overbet in this spot? Like I assume overpairs that don't get raised on flop can B125. Since people drastically under protect their call ranges, so they basically never have 22/33/77 their after calling on the flop.

3. Diamonds are like the nut low of bluffing here, since you unblock him having diamonds. 9Tdd is better to bluff than Ax diamonds since you can fold out his better flush draws. This line is way too bluffy and I think a 60% bet accomplishes the same thing as a 1.5x bet. It puts all his 99-QQ and 8x in an annoying spot. But probably not bluffing missed diamonds.

Yep QQ will rarely get much value from JJ or worse, maybe 1 street. The theory I believe is, while QQ may underperform as a cbet than check line, my overall strategy performs better as a 100% cbet than a split x/b stratety. In the real world, I would probably lose more money if I started splitting checks because then I'd need to put AT/A5/A4 into them. My value line gets AK-AQ. Gets really messy. I personally havent given it much thought nor studying, perhaps I'll make a video over this sometime if content runs low in the casino.
