Don't worry in the digital world they will make your home in Antarctica by switch of button, just to make you buy big thick jacket and make buy gas to heat your home and then once you bought that they will make it like Caribbean so that those cloths become useless in seconds. It won't, because there's no real innovation going on in that space. This is crypto clowns getting into VR. VR still is a small niche, because of its price, the graphics look like sh too. Now these clowns are trying to develop something that can be easily copied and is already widespread in the normal 2D gaming world, just in the VR space, instead of pushing the field of VR as a whole and creating new concepts that would be only applicable there, like in the case of the rise of the internet and new technologies and concepts that came with it.

Isn't it just glorified fashion illustration? Essentially these are 3D drawings that's it :) Actual fashion and the beauty of it is conquering your fashion sketches, conquering your elaborate ideas by overcoming physical obstacles. That is one of the main reason we love fashion. To draw an haute couture dress is somewhat easy, but to make it, is beyond hard. Making a dress is a journey for all the people involved, that is how innovation happens. These animated pieces remind me the 80s licensing craze or something of sort :) It is a great new avenue for fashion houses to bank easy money. It is not the future of fashion, it is just a new market for fashion to expand. Silly gimmicks bringing big buck, that's about it :)

Total mortgage applications decreased 6.3% from one week earlier, according to the MBA and it will only go lower considering the interest rates hikes. As much as the recession seems imminent, keep your heads up. Having monitored my portfolio performance currently up 15% from Q1, I've learned why only a few make enormous returns from this seemingly unknown market. Get your money working.

Years ago, likes, comments and subscribers weren't a measure of success either. But now they are. I can imagine how Metaverse can completely blur the lines of what is "real". But Fashion in a digital world is anyhow more sustainable than that in the real world. So maybe if people dress up their "avatars", they wont need to buy so many clothes for themselves.

Likes, subscribers and so on were always a measure of success. In the past it was mouth to mouth telling of stories you heard about certain people, companies or so. Later people were able to start newspaper, magazine subscriptions - the more subscribers the better, i.e. also a kind of success measurement. With the internet coming up and thus online games for instance ranking lists became a measurement of success and also subscriptions and likes and so on followed soon.

Clothing department stores will pair up with metaverse companies such as Meta (you can apply this with other entities) and create a system where you buy the actual physical product in real life and you would then pay an additonal "x" or if not the same ammount for the same product to be able to have the avatar version of it .

I think these brains do not consider the casual or moderate gamer. Hardcore gamers have no problem paying for a new console every year or so and the high cable costs. Remember the Red Ring of Death of the Xbox 360? The casual and moderate gamers may not tolerate the waste of having to junk a console. Virtually no resale value because who wants to buy a dying console and the frequent disposal impact to the environment. Gaming has always been hardest on hardware because of the heat generated destroying electronics whether it be a PC, console or phone. Perhaps in time reliability will improve but I doubt it any time soon. The makers keep pushing the processing speed envelope to sell ever more product yet not enough to cause a class action suit because of device failures. A delicate balance.

fashion being the primary conduit through which an identity can be “constructed” and “expressed” is precisely the heart of the problem .. an identity shouldn’t be merely an accumulation of assets and elements in a unique permutation - it should require correlation, reciprocity with one’s self and the others’, it should require an active life lived in search of a subjective construction of meaning in peaceful friction within a constellation of others. fast forward 100 years and permafrost gone, all will be immaterial - is that the immateriality we want? Nothing about this is optimistic or encouraging.

It does sound ridiculous, but it is already happening! You see games like Fortnite, Pokemon unite, Overwatch make a bulk of their money from selling digital skins. The skins have no effect on game play.. but people just to dress up their characters/flex to other people that they have the newest stuff! The biggest NFT marketplace is Opensea. If you go browse their top collections, most of them are selling for astronomical prices - above 2k. NFTs = status symbol
