Reminds me so much of this random book I bought on sale called The Pearls of Lutra. Very nice story about small forest animals having swash-buckling adventures in search of these mysterious pearls. There are otters there and Martin, a mouse warrior from a long line of heroes. That female mouse reminds me so much of him. So cute!

Always nice to see someone remember that book. It is actually part of a 22 book saga (Redwall by Brian Jacques), and when I saw the first announcments for Bloomburrow, that saga was what first came to mind for me.

@@christopherb501 Sorry if I misunderstand your question, I'm not quite sure what you mean. The Redwall Saga is a childrens book series about an abbey full of forest animals such as mice, hedgehogs and squiirels, with other animals such as rats, weasels or foxes acting as the villains. Three of the books (Redwall, Mattimeo and Martin the Warrior) have even been adapted as an animated TV Series. The mentioned Pearls of Lutra is the 9th book in release order, or the 11th in chronological order. Though all books can be read standing on their own, they form an overarching narrative, and most books have some ties to former or later installments.

I read Helga's part first, then watched this. Your version is so much better, they should just replace the original story with yours. Btw.: I saw the trailer for Bloomborrow in Amsterdam. You will absolutely love it. Old school drawn animation, super cute animals, a terrifying villain and brave heroes. Gave me goosebumps.

Story just started and I already don't like this frog. Obsessed with the future, useless in the present, not living to the fullest. Hopefully the rest of the "fellowship" is better than the first

That's a good thing though. The character isn't perfect out of the gate and has clear room to develop. Assuming this story is even OK, they will obviously resolve that somehow by the end of the story

You have literally given the story no time to cook. These types of stories always feature unlikely heroes who step into shoes much too large for them to fill in their naïveté. Hilga has lots of imagination and feels isolated from her peers, and now she has a call to action, so her tale is truly only just beginning.
