Great video that brought back some good memories. Right about where you camped I discovered I had been eating my brothers sandwiches by mistake. He’s a sergeant major in the army so you can imagine his banter going up Old Man. He still brings it up with me when he’s p**t off at something I have done. Anyway looks like you had a much better time.

Had this on my watchlist for ages but been real busy, so never had the 37 minutes time to watch it before now. That forecast is never right over the Lakes and sick of hearing about heatwaves and it still being bloody freezing over here. When I was on the OMOC last year, we were forecast clear, sun and wind free, it was the exact opposite. Great place to camp and good to see the other lads moved and you had it to yourselves. I thought it was midges at first before you said snow, so I felt felt sire it would have been an enormous steak for tea :o( . Two canny days weather in a row mind but that looked a steep up from your campsite, especially with the camping packs on. I need to go back to the OMOC as I never got to see those stunning views, fingers crossed no ticket in the post, cheers Alan

What an amazing place to hike and camp. I must confess that my outsiders view of England involved lots of grey concrete and coronation street brick row houses! Your channel shows that even in overpopulated England there are some great outdoor adventures for those prepared to get off the couch. Awesome stuff, keep it up, from NZ.

Hadn't seen this one spot on as usual In years to come people will look back on these I certainly will You could actually do this as a career or a show on TV you're that good talking about equipment and give it a rating like top gear but for campers and you would be an ideal host and go out each week camp and review with little mick or the other 2 review the gear back in show and talk about places to camp etc just a thought but cheers topman

Wonder if you could go a swim in that pool during the summer? Obviously it would still be bloody cold, but nice and refreshing after a long sweaty hike on a sinners day. Chris what tent is that your camping in the blue and black one? Also I’ve been told always too use a two man tent for solo camping as the one man tents there’s no room too put your gear in or cook in the porch area if it’s raining etc. would you recommend the same?
