This Game Was Huge For The 2007 Oregon Ducks Which In My Ducks Fans Eyes Would Have Been One With A Natty In It😔

Best Oregon team ever. Until Dixon got injured. That hurt

I would argue the 2012 team was better. Essentially a touchdown that should have been ruled incomplete robbed Oregon of a conference title and possible national title

Even with the Arizona loss on Thursday night had DD not got hurt they would have only had 1 loss and took LSUs spot vs OSU for the title and DD would have had a tight ass Heisman race with Tebow.

That Oregon team was actually so stacked with talent. Dixon at QB, Jonathan Stewart and Jeremiah Johnson at RB, Ed Dickson at TE, the whole secondary absolutely stacked. Enough talent to win it all if injuries didn’t derail their season

Excellent OL and WRs. Even the DL had some dudes. Only relatively weak group was LBs. Oregon has maybe had deeper teams since then. But this was the best group of 1s they've ever had.

Wow, how’d you forget about Jaison Williams (when he decided to catch the ball), Paysinger, Patrick Chung, James Finley, Unger (Pro Bowler), Schwartz, Colvin, Byrd, Derrick Jones…and there was a player on the team named Tschirgi. Lol

I live in Eugene, we were in the conversation for a national championship that year w/ Dixon and Stewart. Dennis' injury @ AZ was absolutely soul crushing. He was the nicest guy too, a gentleman. Go Ducks!🦆

that Oregon team was absolutely stacked with talent, could of should of won a national championship. are you kidding me with that backfield? Jeremiah Johnson, Jonathan Stewart and Dennis Dixon! put those three on the team today and they would totally destroy the conference.

This WAS a big time statement game. I remember it very well because it was on national television against a major top school and they kicked Michigans butt. Now in 2022, this is the type of team Oregon wants to be like.

Mich season ticket holder here, that game was strange cause we had just come off the Appalachian State loss the week before. The cameras dont show it well but the stadium was almost completely empty after half. After this game Michigan beat Notre Dame 38-0 the very next week and didn't lose again until the Ohio St. game. 2007 season was wild 😂

I grew up in Oregon and Michigan was my family's school. They showed the end of the Michigan game on the video board at the Duck game during warmups. It was the worst-case scenario, Oregon didn't get the shine they should have coming out of Ann Arbor; it was a good team that had a bad start and went on to beat Florida and Heisman-winning Tebow. I don't think we even knew how good Oregon was for a few more weeks because of the perception after the app state game.

@@dixonmixin10 This was a more talented team before Kelly started recruiting small, light guys and sending his OL to "speed school". For example, Jonathan Stewart was a way different dude than Lamichael James. Dixon was more talented and athletic than Darron Thomas. And LSU backed into a NC that year with 2 losses.

I was living in Portland at that time and wasn't interested in Duck football until I watched this game at Dixon's BBQ on Alberta...turns out the owner is Dennis' uncle. I was watching these SoL plays and was blown away at the execution of that and other plays. I've been a big fan ever since. RIP Ryan Mallett

I love seeing teams in the state of Oregon do well, and win championships, because the fans are great and deserving. Hope I get to see an Oregon Ducks championship in my lifetime.

This was my first ever Oregon football game. I live in Pennsylvania near Pittsburgh. I was in 8th grade and my family got 4 tickets for this game. I've been a Duck fan since 2001 when they had Joey Harrington and played in the Fiesta Bowl against Colorado. I got my picture taken with the Duck. We were hoping to just see the Ducks score because they had never scored in the previous trips to Michigan Stadium. Oregon played so well that game and that season until Dixon got hurt in the game at Arizona. I think this game that people were starting to talk about the Ducks nationally. Go Ducks!!!!

I love seeing teams in the state of Oregon do well, because they are underdogs, and have great deserving fans. And, as a Washington Huskies graduate, I HATE Michigan, too! I thought Oregon had NO chance to win this game, and I still remember sleeping in on that Saturday, hearing the update on the radio, that Oregon was BLOWING OUT Michigan, AT Michigan! And, that "Chad Henne got knocked out of the game." Where and when did Henne get knocked out of the game? Was he lying face down on the turf, in pain, unable to move?
