As a potential buyer for your shampoo line, it would be great if you could please explain/make a video supporting your claim that it is better than the professional shampoos you previously recommended with the science behind it like you do in other videos. I'm sure a lot of people would like to have more information on this.

Definitely agree!! My hair is thin and fine. I switched from the Pureology Strength Cure line to the Redkin volume shampoo/conditioner he recommends. The more I used it, the more straw like my hair became. Had to switch back. Anyone else have this problem?? It's why I would be hesitant to buy his products.

I can't answer by science or experience because Chris' shampoo and conditioner is the first high-end brand I've used in about 20 years. But I do own his shampoo and conditioner, and I was able to go 6 days between washes without having to use dry shampoo. I have medium hair (according to Chris' hair test), but it is very fine with little to no volume. After using this once, my hair felt clean, and it was so voluminous even while wet. I had bouncy thicker looking hair for the first time in a long time. Idk I love it, and I'm glad I tried it. My hair is bleached/ highlighted, and even my stylist tells me how healthy my hair is and looks.

I found this channel October 2023. It seemed my hair had stopped growing. Actually I learned I was damaging my ends. After binge watching Chris I ordered the shampoo; conditioner; hair mask and bonding recommended. Within a month my hair went from 😢to😊. Silky, longer and easier to style. Now I have shoulder length hair that I still lighten the roots every four weeks. No damage and strangers tell me how beautiful my hair is now. I am ashamed to admit that when I emptied one of my bathroom cabinets I added the cost of each product . I had almost full bottles/tubes that had disappointed me. The total $534.74 . Fortunately a womens’ shelter was happy to receive these products. My new products cost me $150.56 initially. Chris is right , I use so little of each product they last months longer than the products I used in the past. I now shampoo/condition; use leave in conditioner; pea size Big Blow Out; blow dry; tiny amount of oil on the ends, finished . Once a month Oleplex 3 for 10 minutes, rinse, weightless mask 10 minutes. Needless to say THRILLED I found Chris.❤❤❤❤❤❤😊

Same here. My hair has been abused by me for most of my life. I have been colouring my hair since I was 11. Now, this was not because I wanted to ruin my hair: of course I did not. But no matter how many recommendations I read, or how many ineffective products that I bought, my hair was no better. It was broken, dry, brittle and in very poor condition. On my Christmas vacation of 2022, I found Chris and like you, I binged watched his channel. Within 3 months my hair had turned a significant corner. I haven’t look back. My hair, at 73, is long, luxurious and shining. It’s in the best condition that it’s ever been. I use Olaplex shampoo and conditioner, Purology leave in conditioner, Olaplex oil weekly. Prior to washing I will use Olaplex 3. Monthly or so I use a hair mask: Chris’s recommendation of Argan Oil mask for fine hair is perfect. Of course I use Redken’s Big Blow out too!Chris’s shampoo and conditioner are next on my list. I have saved so much money from taking his advice that I have no qualms on buying his products!

I started in 2022 and my hair is down to my bum and so incredibly healthy! I have Lupus and I no longer get clumps of hair falling out with each wash day or brushing every day. I don’t blow dry my hair and never brush my hair my hair wet. HUGE difference. My Nana taught me to wash my brush every week, I taught our daughters the same. Chris has NEVER steered me wrong. He’s my hair hero! Seriously!

SAME! Started at the end of 2022 and after many years of not getting past my shoulders, my hair is almost to my bum. It looks shiny and is so soft now! Less is better as long as the less (product) IS better! I've changed all my products, including hair ties and brushes and how I care for them, etc. It all makes a difference and is actually less money and work! Thank you, Chris!

A month and a half ago, I ordered all the products you suggested and have been following your instructions religiously. I use the redken volume injection shampoo and conditioner, shampooing twice, and leaving conditioner on for atleast 2 minutes. Pureology leave in conditioner, olaplex oil drops, and redken thermal spray for when iuse a flat iron, which is everytime i wash my hair lol. I can get by 4 days now before I have to wash and I dont even need dry shampoo. I have fine blonde and my ends used to always break, so i could never get it to grow, even though my roots were growing. I put my hair i a light bun and a silk bonnet to sleep, also a silk pillowcase, and oil my ends every night. My hair has honesty never been this good in my entire life. I thank you ftom the bottom of my heart for the knowledge you have provided us. I do understand that the products are a bit pricey, but when I look at my hair product graceyard, i personally feel its worth to invest in what i know will give me the results i need.

For years I thought I had fine hair. I had 2 very expensive, allegedly "pro" stylists tell me I had fine hair. I couldn't get anywhere with my hair, so frustrating. Then I took Chris' quiz and it told me I had course hair. The opposite end of the hair spectrum! I bought the products he recommended and now I have the best hair of my life. I can hardly believe the difference.
@DanteVelasquez

I have always hated the terms "fine" and "coarse" for hair. Very confusing and misleading. Density, denier, and surface smoothness are never properly explained and hidden behind those inaccurate terms.
@imaginillyar3572
@imaginillyar3572 12 күн бұрын
@@DanteVelasquez - I agree. I've had a real education since finding this channel. The terms make no sense whatsoever but once you understand them hair care becomes so much easier. All my life I've been sold products for the wrong hair type, no wonder they didn't work, but the worst thing is that these stylists didn't know my hair type either. I won't be trusting stylists so readily going forward.

@@imaginillyar3572 Yes unfortunately just like in every industry there are bad ones, and ones motivated solely by profit. We all have to be educated consumers with both products and advice. This has been long time issue for those of us with wavy and curly hair.

Same happened to me. Every hair stylist told me I had fine hair. I tried buying fine hair products only to end up with dry, frizzy hair. I realised I liked how my hair felt softer and smoother when using curly hair products. Anyway it took 2 sales assistants at separate stores to tell me I should be shopping for medium hair products, because there's some thickness there. I feel like some people might feel like they have fine hair, because it's not being properly nourished

I used all these salon products you recommended at one point for a while and it actually ruined my hair. I had to cut 6 inches off from this routine you recommended. It really is crazy how different products work so differently for different people. I used that exact coconut hair oil he showed not to use because another “influencer“ said it was the best and repaired her hair. After I used it for two weeks, it literally broke 3 inches off of my waist length hair. It completely destroyed my hair because my hair is so fine and it’s such a heavy oil so my hair hated it obviously. and it really sucked because it took like a year to grow my hair back and have it looking halfway decent again. So you just never know, it’s kind of like taking medications, some medications work wonders for people and that same medication can nearly kill someone else with side effects. I’m still trying to find the magic combination that works for my hair because it’s just so damaged and I’m not even coloring it or anything. But I’ve also gone through breast cancer treatment for the last year and a half, so that adds an extra special layer of crap on top of it 😂.

I literally have been washing my hair wrong until i bought your shampoo and conditioner, and the box came with a wash tutorial (literally 38 when i learned hour to properly wash my hair)! 😢 My hair is bleached/highlighted, but it is healthier than ever!! Your new shampoo and conditioner and trinity products gave that to me!! Since using your shampoo and conditioner (was using drug store brand products), I get so many compliments and can go about 6 days between washes without it looking greasy!!! Leave in conditioner has saved my hair. I never used to use it before, and i don't understand how i went thru life without it, along with the deep conditioning treatments! I literally only use 3 products on my hair... your shampoo and conditioner, leave in conditioner, and oil (heat protectant when I straighten my hair). Your shampoo and conditioner is my hair soul mate and is already saving me money only having it since 6/3/24.

INGREDIENT PEOPLE are for a reason. My reason is moderate seborrheic dermatitis. I’m still learning about my scalp condition and how to avoid flare-ups. Unfortunately, Moroccan oil mask was terrible; as much as I try to avoid scalp contact, the mask got to my scalp snd caused a flare up. Most natural oils (with few exceptions) cause the flare ups for me. But will happily try alternatives (without oils). After listening to the advice in this channel a year ago, I’ve stuck to the shampoo, leave in conditioner and oil … and abide the 3 day shampoo rule most of the time unless I’m having a flare up. But I do have to use a medicated shampoo every so often. Hair looks better and even post partum with hair loss and all, I feel my fine, now thinner hair (post partum), is in decent condition. Can’t wait to try his shampoo/conditioner.

I'm a former hairdresser, this is so true for selling products. I wanted my customer to come back, to trust me, to use what I sold her, so I never forced the sale of anything. Forcing sales is never good in the long term for a relationship with customers. I see the TikToks and YTs of lots of beauty influencers and each time the number of hair products or revolutionary machines exceeds me, it's terrible. Fewer products, but the right ones of good quality, can really change your hair health. I'm glad to see someone mention these things🙏💛

My only issue is the scents of the products recommended. I purchased the Redken blowout creame and couldn't stand the scent (I'm extremely sensitive to artificial fragrance). Any suggestions for fragrance free products?

Purchased the Redken Big Blowout Cream on his advice -- really dries out my hair! The Redken Thermal Spray 22 does not dry out my hair -- it works very well. I tossed the cream in the tube.

I'm currently in a dermocosmetics masters degree and although I agree to an extent that some cheaper products are made with low percentage of prime-raw materials and that makes some cosmetic preparations of certain brands less targeting or great at maintaining or give quick benefit to the hair, not all pricey products are only the best at keeping hair healthier, some formulations are great and not necessarily expensive. Not all people can afford 30 dollars worth of shampoo bottle and guess what? most of the same elements that you found in expensive products can be found in other more affordable brands. As a doctor i can tell you that also don't expect products to work miracles, most of the time is about patience, being constant and knowing what are the best actives for your hair type, and if hair is damaged most of the time is better to give a good trim and wait it to grow with your incorporated hair care routine, unless you have a medical scalp condition in which case go to the medical professional for the right treatment. With all of that being said buy what suits your hair type and also your wallet, there are good products out there that have great formulations and are affordable. All skin and hair care products on the market are under the same legislations to be released and safe for consumers to purchase, so yeah don't fall for the line only the expensive is worth the hype. I follow this channel and love their content regardless but I feel like I needed to say something on this matter. If you can afford expensive brands, great dot it if it makes you happier and if you can't afford them, don't worry there are great products to choose from that do the same for less $$$.

Just bought your shampoo and more than doubled my wash day length! The first few weeks I hadn’t noticed, then I was able to go 4+ days when I was only getting 1-2 with Target shampoo. Totally worth it. Plus I felt like a queen opening my box from Chris 😁

However, she uses it a different way and that's the trick. If somebody uses it as a leave in oil it would be way too heavy for 98% of people. I've been having great results from using that oil as prewash like she suggests.

Your videos were such a game changer for me. By now I'm on all of your recommended products and I'm still amazed that I can go for a week without washing and it looks so healthy. Also, blow drying has become so much easier and no longer that pain in the a** I only did when I didn't have the time to let it air dry. I even now dared to bleach my dark brown hair a bit to go to dark red and it's still smooth and soft. My hairdresser even gave me compliments on it the last time I got my ends trimmed.

Pretty please could you do a hair tutorial for blow drying your hair with the Dyson air wrap. I know you mention in one of your videos no need for it. But if you already have one, it would be helpful to make sure we using it correctly. I have been following your videos and follow all your tips, really transformed my hair. Thank you ☺️

I started watching your videos about a year ago and my hair is so much healthier now :) Basically, everything you advised us not to do to avoid hair damage was my daily routine! lol My hair was extremely damaged in my twenties and early 30s. My hair was crunchy, dry and frizzy. Now, it’s starting to look fuller, shinier and bouncy. Better late than never :)

Allergic to fragrance in Redken big blowout. I did ask them and as of now they do not have a fragrance free version. Would you recommend an alternative. Does not necessarily have to be fragrance free as it was just that particular fragrance that was problematic. Love your videos

@blowoutprofessor, speaking of grandmothers and brush care, my paternal grandmother, who was born in 1894, taught me how to take care of my brushes. Like many women in the early to mid 20th century, she had a standing weekly beauty parlor appointment. I spent many nights with her. The night before she had her hair done was brush washing night. She removed all the hair. Filled the sink with warm water and a squirt of Palmolive dish detergent. she would swish and soak for about 10 minutes. Rinse. Shake excess water and leave to to dry on a towel. From the time I was about 6 (1966) this has been my brush care method. No beauty parlor appt, though. 😉😉

I found that my hair likes sulfates as my scalp is oily & so I need the deep clean. All these professional non this & that did nothing for my hair. Also it loves silicones on my fragile thin ends. Can you do a video explaining why for years we had great hair but then a few years ago now these ingredients are considered bad for your hair? I’m 56 so I’m old school & my hair loves these ingredients.

Hi there! I love your videos! I've incorporated lots of your tips into my routine and am noticing good changes! I have fine hair and LOVE the countless advice for it. One question that never seems to be addressed is how to care for natural curls. I have an aggressive wave pattern, but I want to encourage my curls to be more spiraled. I've tried the curly girl method, but I hate the feeling of having a ton of gross product on my head for days. Can't do it. While I feel prepared by your videos for heat styling, I want to know your takes on enhancing a natural wave pattern. I know you love blowouts, but if you have tips for diffusing or air drying into spiraled curls, I would be SO grateful!

Looking at the shampoo ingredients is for your scalp which is very much alive. Olaplex is amazing though. I have tried so many products and avoided olaplex because of the fear mongering reviews but i got a sample and decided to try it anyways. After realizing how amazing it was i purchased full bottles and it is the best thing I ever did. Remember, people are more likely to post negative reviews than positive ones.
