Great game. All his rulebooks are fantastic products; well laid out, tightly focused, clearly explained, and unambiguous. All publishers could learn from him.

You and your blucher videos years ago got me into miniatures. Since then I’ve bought Blucher and the card packs. Then moved onto buying miniatures. Then Sharp practice to play with them and as I grew collection I went into Black Powder. And now general d’armee. Maybe one day I can make a campaign to combine the different systems that seem to focus on different levels. Thanks for starting me on this wonderful hobby.

I haven’t played these rules for a couple of years , but your run through really jogged my good memories of them . I love to see you doing this for other rulesets

These are all good rules sets for Napoleonics: 2e LaSalle, as is General d'Armee, A Gentleman's War, Shadow of the Eagles, De Bellis Napoleonicis, Black Powder (with the Napoleonic Supplements), One Hour Wargame, The Portable Napoleonic Wargame

Great review and a really nice game. I've played it a few times. Nice mechanics. I'm still a lover of Grande Armee by Sam M.

@@Forge_n_Brush I've managed to get a copy, from ebay as I couldn't find it (in the UK anyhow) anywhere else. In particular I like the little 'aside' sections where the author explains rules rather like he was a friend explaining the rules.

I'll have to see where the rules can be found for purchase , they sound very intriguing for Napoleonic Wars

You can get them directly from Sam Mustafa's site. Not sure if he has any hardbacks left but you can get cards and a rules PDF from the Honor site. Great rules. I have played Waterloo using these rules. www.sammustafa.com

how would you do "hidden" unit mechanichs for when using minis? also would these rules work well in combination with some kind of campaign format?
@Forge_n_Brush
@Forge_n_Brush 3 жыл бұрын
The cards you can get with the rules function as 'hidden' unit markers. They are used during deployment, units being revealed after deployment - except those out of sight. Units are revealed by enemy drawing close, or the hidden units own movement. As for campaign rules, the rules are very campaign friendly. In fact, they come with a set of campaign rules in the book! Thanks for the feedback. ~Fritz

I have a Blucher rule book and the Hundred Days card set. How do I know if my rule book is the 2020 updated version? Sam's website lists the Blucher rule book as having 176 pages, which my book has. I checked most of the pages you showed, and my pages look identical. But at the bottom of the back cover of my rule book there's a copyright date of 2014. Thanks in advance.

I am not really sure there was any changes made with the newest printing. You should send a question to the website itself, which Sam runs; see if there are any changes. Hope that helps. ~Fritz

Isn't a full minute of intro a bit much?
@Forge_n_Brush
@Forge_n_Brush 3 жыл бұрын
Technically, the intro is approx. 12 seconds, which is sufficient enough. If your are referring to the voice over which follows, not at all. It sets the scene for what is to follow - something very much required since this video is an UPDATED version of a past video which contained no such intro. I recommend that if you do include an actual INTRO to your video, try and keep it around 5-10 seconds max... then get into the meat of the video content. I hope that helps. Feel free to let me know if you need any more advice for making your own videos. Take care. ~Fritz
