My dog, a 16 year old Yorkiepoo, has been on Blue, salmon and potato since she was 3 months old. She is allergic to poultry...caused her to itch and chew her paws raw. She still loves to run In the yard but does enjoy napping a little more than she used to. Her hearing is lacking but her vision is good. Every day I have with her at this age is a gift. I will be 87 next month and we are aging together.

need to know basis Blue buffalo is a very rich food, it has good ingredients and dogs are used to foods that aren’t as rich as the food they had as wolves. It contains a lot of gases.

Had a dog that had stomach issues switched him to taste of the wild and not only did he not have any issues but with time whatever the problem was seemed to disappear he had gotten into scraps that would have made him sick before and he was fine was able to eat whatever he wanted since then.

I couldn't agree more with Kevin Deharo. Though I enjoyed the video, it reminds me of the experiment Tesla did between its new truck and the basic 2-wheel drive F-150. It was uneven from the beginning. I would be more satisfied if the Taste of the Wild was compared to Blue Wilderness or Blue Carnivora.

I literally just bought this and came across this video. Too bad i didnt look at this before hand but it looks like i made the right choice. I was deciding between the two. The bad news is that i gotta go back and get a bag of the food he just finished because i just read on the side of the taste of the wild bag that its recommended to slowly integrate your puppy from the old dog food to the new.

My 13 week old Golden Retriever didn't like Taste of the Wild.Her Vet gave me a The Hills to try it out and she seems to like large kibbles , do you have any suggestions?I was wondering if Blue Buffalo would be a better idea instead.Or maybe any other taste of the wild formula I should try?

Just switched my 1yr old boxer from AUTHORITY to Taste of the wild about a week ago. Hoping to see some improvements to his skin and fur. My one question is, will it be good to his joints in the long run? 🤔

You should see improvements in the skin & coat in about a month or so and yes it should help with joints but if your concerned about I would look into added a over the counter pet supplements from your pet store!

Through testing of Taste of the Wild, Grossman says he discovered the dog food contains heavy metals including arsenic, lead, mercury, and cadmium, as well as pesticides, acrylamide, and BPA. These contaminates can allegedly build up in an animal's body and cause toxicity, leading to adverse health conditions.

I am thinking of changing to Taste of the Wild, but wondering if you have heard of a Redford Naturals from Pets Supplies Plus. I can't really find any ratings on it because it is pretty much a new product. I don't really want to go by them because I think they are just trying to sell it. Could you possibly test that or find anything out about it? Or do you think I should just go with Taste of the Wild? My last question is does a dog NEED grain free?

Whole hearted is not guaranteed to use American only ingreidents....if you look it up its says it.....I only buy food that say this....MADE AND SOURCED IN AMERICA ONLY.....if they dont say that...then what that means is the Vitiams and minerals can come from forgien countries like China or Mexico..etc.... No thanks.

I just ordered taste of the wild salmon dog food for our 10 year old German Sheperd. He is losing hair and has a lot of skin issues and joint issues. I supplement with pollock oil and consequin supplement for his skin and joints. Hope this helps!

Make sure to let me know how everything turns out!! I would also look at getting the solid gold bone broth. I have a video about that stuff. We can’t keep it stocked on the shelves. So many students have seen an amazing change in there Sr Dogs adding that.

Can you do Acana versus Taste of the Wild? Specifically the Puppy stuff. Orijen would be unfair as it is superior, but Acana and TOTW are nearly identical in price.

What about all the lawsuits ongoing against Taste of the Wild regarding the high levels of heavy metal they contain? There are multiple lawsuits ongoing since 2013 but everyone just seems to ignore that on KZfaq. Educate yourselves, read the lawsuit, see the testing that has been done.

I'll stick to champion pet foods. Why? They dont use a vitamin premix because their food is balanced to begin with. Also, the "acid test" is a bit silly. Dogs stomachs are way more acidic than lemon juice or vinegar, not to mention the body heat, movement of digestion and enzymes that break food down.
