🟥 DISCLAIMER: I make these videos to share my own personal methods and techniques for how I make cold process soap. These videos are not intended as tutorials for beginners. The content I create is intended for those who already have an understanding of cold process soap making. Cold process soapmaking involves working with sodium hydroxide (NaOH, also referred to as lye). Lye and raw soap can permanently damage your eyes and burn your skin. When making soap, you should already know and practice lye safe handling procedures and always wear safety gear during the entire soapmaking process, even while cleaning up. I hope you find watching my videos helpful or entertaining. However, due to the many variables that can affect a particular batch of soap, if you do try any of my methods or techniques that I use in my videos, I cannot be held liable or responsible for your results.

Hi! I hope you’re all doing well! Have you ever used Cambrian blue clay in your soapmaking or body products? I just recently tried this soap, and, besides the pretty green color 😉, I really like how it performs and feels. The lather felt so soft, almost as if I was using a water softener (if that makes sense). Sometimes clay can feel drying, but this didn’t at all…for me anyway. Thanks so much for watching! -Holly :)

Hello dear Holly, I used exactly the same cambrian Blue Clay as you! The colour also turned out the same, I like the soap very much. I wonder, how other people get these vibrant turkoise colours out of Blue Clay. If it was possible, I would share here a picture where I made a soap out of 3 natural blue colours ☺️ greetings from South Germany

Sure! The little one I used in this video was actually purchased from a company that has since gone out of business (Soap Making Resource). I do have another acrylic planer that I really like - purchased from Custom Soap Stamps on Etsy. If you search google or Etsy for Custom Soap Stamps planer, they usually pop up first. 😊

When measuring your clay is the measurement for the PPO for the divided portion or the entire batch of oils? Thanks Holly I love your videos! I've used Kaolin clay before and I think it's kind of drying but would consider trying this since you like it! 😊

I’ve had a small box of Cambrian blue clay for a while now but have never made a soap with it. I’ll have to make a loaf now and see how it feels to me! I always use kaolin clay and Tussah silk fibers in my soap, but now I’m wondering if the Cambrian clay / silk combo will have a different feel to it than the kaolin / silk combo.🤔🤔
@hollysoapmaking
@hollysoapmaking 3 жыл бұрын
I love using silk, too, for that same reason. I bet it would be a great combination. 😊

The one in the box is the true Cambrian blue clay. It's the one I use - gives me blue in 100 % CO soap. The other clay is too blue to be true. It's most probably adulterated.
