No way dad's gonna make it on a 3 day family camping trip with a 12 pack of 🍺 that won't take him past the first day. If you want the truly best cooler, try out a techni ice cooler. Incredible ice retention

I've been doing some research on all of these types of cooler and everything keeps coming back to Techniice.

Oh please do Lunch Bags and other coolers too please. Thanks to your review of the ORCA 20 Qt video. I got one and I am happy with the purchase. My next issue is trying to keep my lunch cool or warm throughout the day.

Frosted Frog is another brand I have been interested in. I just heard about them recently. I would love to see the Pelican cooler tested too!

I have a Igloo BMX 25. Been solid and the method pack it I can trust it in 85-90f for 3 days with food and 4 days with beverages. I use a mix of frozen bottles and ice and always prechill contents and cooler. That is good numbers for a 25 qt cooler plus anything with Igloo on it is less likely to get stolen. I've had friends get RTICs and Yetis stolen and that's not cool.

Seems like a better deal than a yeti. Concerned about the bent stainless plate. Spend the $150 savings for ice.

I would like to see some coolers tested with dry ice. I don't think a pressure release would be required on a Yeti, for instance, because its latch is a piece of rubber. If pressure builds up inside, the lid should lift, the rubber will stretch, the cooler will fart CO2 and the lid will resettle. No explosion. Let's see, shall we?

Try it with your Yeti and let us know lol

Have you tested Walmart Ozark Trails or their moosejaw rotomould coolers?

Next should be a Brumate Brutank. 55qt capacity. They are increasing in popularity where we go camping. Has a built in tank and spout. I've seen campers place their margarita mix or wine in it for the weekend. Thanks. 👍

Can you elaborate on your testing at 1:28. 7lbs of Ice is not nearly enough for this size cooler, and was that cooler pre-cooled? at 7lbs and (if) not precooled, it looks like you using that small amount of ice to cool down the thermal mass of the cooler... so dosen't seem like a good retention test. Im going to do my own test.. Indoors, precooled, 20lbs of (fresh) ice. and thermocouples at the ceiling, mid, and in a 16oz wraped raw burger... and publish my results...
