This show is definitely interesting- like its protagonist, it amazes the audience but takes its time opening up. The back and forth between the present day and Mizu's past plays a huge role in helping the viewers piece the story together.

Taigen is my favorite character. It's not as simple as him being the childhood bully that needs to be taught a lesson. There is a lot to him

Metal Gear to GTA is a valid comparison, if Kojima was thinking of MG as a mission, an he found GTA as an adventure. I can see how he'd go "ah, shhhit" when finding about the FUN factor: GTA was meant to be FUN.

What's wrong with eggplant? Facts. I don't know much about pre prep eggplant, like the soaking in water thing? Does that matter? Eh. Anyway. Sliced eggplant dipped in corn meal or something similar and fried is amazing. Get sprinkle of salt and a spritz of lemon or lime on it and it's perfect. Delicious. There's probably even another seasoning I don't know about from when it's been cooked for me. I never quite matched it, but it's been close enough.

In the 1600s in China, black teeth were indeed a symbol of beauty to some, I guess striking solid black teeth were better than yellowed or disease/ food stained teeth 🤷🏾♀️

teeth decay was not the same in the past as for us due to our consumption of pure sugar in our food. It however seemed to have some teeth maintenance effect aka protecting the teeth and help a bit with health

This show is fun to look at but, in my opinion, nowhere near the storytelling of Arcane. A lot of the fights begin to feel like a video game where everyone is a useless drone until you get to the boss battle and have trouble winning.
